Proximity to the beach

Posted Aug 15, 2014
Other than the proximity to the beach, this hotel is pretty bad. Food was awful. Some hotel staff were rude. The decor is dated. Generally clean, but still... I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel very close to beach.

Rooms very clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Diving centre Blue Planet 500m up the road and within easy walking distance who are fab, for those you might want to try something new. We also visited Bosnia and Hertagovinia and Montenegro booked at the hotel. Overall can recommend to anyone vidtung the area.

We enjoyed our stay.

We had a breakfast and dinner plan included which was convenient. Bus to old town was right in front. Buy bus passes at hotel front desk. We did figure that a beach lounge would be free for guests but they were 30 kunas. Overall it is a very nice hotel with a nice beach and places to walk to nearby.

super location

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: the location , the size, it was clean and extremely good value for money.
Cons: the beds, the soundproofing and the food.
Location: it is within easy reach of everything you need to do locally, and if you want to tour further afield there are many agents available.
very uncomfortable bed, soundproofing not very good, buffet dinners no very imaginative but food in general in Dubrovnik not up to much.

Dubrovnik visit

Can't really find any faults, apart from it could have had more extensive wifi. Easy to get to as it's right by a bus stop.

Decidedly average hotel

Posted Jun 27, 2014
Pros: The location - lovely bay. Nice terrace for dining, shame the food didn't match up to the setting!
Cons: The food. Describing rooms as having sea view when view is almost entirely blocked
Location: Nice bay, convenient for getting to the old town on the No.4 bus, plenty of excursions to choose from, beautiful country
I booked a double room with sea view - what I got was a twin room with 2 small single beds in a room which was in a dingy alcove over the back entrance (which meant I was constantly disturbed at night), with the sea view almost entirely blocked by a huge tree - well below my expectations. If you get room 201, you really have drawn the short straw! The hotel did manage to move me to a better double room, but couldn't do so for the first 2 nights as they said there were no sea view rooms available. The sea view from the new room was still largely blocked by trees (most of the rooms on that side of the hotel are). The food was pretty average - breakfast was ok, as long as you avoided the cooked breakfast, which I made the mistake of having on the first day - horrible tasting scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. Buffet style food in the evening - I didn't manage to find anything that was served above room temperature. Same tired vegetables every day, and although the cakes for pudding were quite nice, there was no variety - what about ice cream, or trifle, or something different!

a good 3star hotel

Posted May 28, 2014
Pros: position on lapad bay with own beach accessed by steps from the hotel.l
Cons: the hot food could be kept hotter at dinner time.
Location: 10 minutes by number4 bus from outside of hotel, bus every 20 minutes to dubrovnik. good walks around lapad bay and also in the hills facing hotel
hotel vis is a basic 3 star hotel but for the price you pay a very good find. we stayed for 1 week in may 2014 and found the hotel fine for our needs. a good choice of food at breakfast and at dinner and as much as you wanted at any meal. the staff are friendly and the reception staff very helpful. ours was a standard room with park view, nice large comfortable double bed, plenty of cupboard space and a small balcony and was very quiet.also a tv.

Hotel in a beautiful spot

Posted May 24, 2014
Pros: Position
Cons: Not to have to pay for sunbeds and pools
Location: Plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance
We liked the hotel was a little dismayed that we had to pay for the use of hotel sunbeds, sister hotel we had to pay to use swimming indoor and outdoor, which if we was to use on a daily basis it would have added a considerable amount to our holiday budget

This hotel is on a bay with many, many other large hotels. It is quite far from the old town (~10 min taxi ride, 15 min bus ride). The pros: we had a nice view of the bay from our room, parking was free and the breakfast was good and plentiful. The cons: it was the only hotel/motel in Croatia that did not have free wifi in our room (did have free wifi in lobby) and we had excessive noise (2nd floor, sea view) till midnight each night from the bar below.

Close to beach and town bus.

Pros: Very spacious front entrance, very good choice of breakfast material.
Cons: No minibar and no coffee making facilities in room. Wifi limited to hotel lobby and needs to be made available in rooms.
Location: Very close to old town by bus located just outside front of hotel.
Hotel was quite acceptable, good staff. Great breakfast, good location.
