Great view -- average servicesPosted Oct 28, 2013
Pros: the view one staff who made a difference between it being a totally unfriendly experience and not.
Cons: see my comments above. But for me -- being able to sleep is important. The pillows are old and flat and there is no air movement
Location: Dubrovnik!! awesome plus Montenegro and Bosnia are nearby. A beautiful area.
like many hotels/ressorts in great locations, they have the tendency to mistake high traffic as a sign that they are doing well. Once there is competition for same view they will be under stress to manage. The staff are inadequately trained. The exception were exceptional. And that is because they had other work experiences AND had a good attitude to begin with. But beyond that, it is not organized for a great guest experience: - bar serves NO food after 5pm. Nothing, not even nuts. At the same time there were only two restaurants -- one buffet and the other very fancy -- And, there are no options close by. - the fitness center was equipped by a designer not a fitness expert. When weights stop at 2.5lbs... someone didn't think it through. - the spa -- the massage therapist was not a professional not sure about the rest of the staff because they only had one person working during the time we were there. The spa itself was ok -- once again "designed" but less functional -- really, do you lounge on the floor on small pillows? - transportation -- if you don't have a car -- is ludicrously expensive. And considering the hotel is near nothing, there once again were no other options. - the new part of the hotel is nicely designed -- but the air conditioning does not work after the end of Sept. And without overhead fans there is no air movement. Opening the balcony meant you had the beach/pool party noise during the night. And I mean until 3am. i

Great hotel, shame about customer servicePosted Sep 30, 2013
Cons: Level of customer service could be greatly improved - specifically the bar staff at the pool bars & on the beach. The bars should also offer snacks.
Location: There is nothing to do in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, however the hotel has plenty of facilities to occupy you.
This is a great hotel with lots of facilities - 3 different pools, private pebble beach, sports centre plus a separate gym & spa facilities. It also has about 4 different restaurants, we only tried 2 of them - Cilantro the seafood restaurant was very good but quite pricey. Having said all that, this is not a hotel for those that have limited mobility or are elderly as there are so many stairs....you get a mini workout just getting to the pools & beach & back. It is also a 20 minute drive from Dubrovnik but the hotel does provide a shuttle bus at 35Kn per person each way. The last shuttle is at 22.00hrs but a taxi costs 200Kn. I'm sure if you visit during peak season, the level of customer service is very good, but we visited mid September & were told the beach bars were running down their stocks & they didn't have any beer, unfortunately there was no offer to get us beers from the pool bar; so we had to ask the staff who were sat around doing nothing to do this for us.........not the level of service you'd expect from a 5* hotel.

Beautiful surroundings and brilliant staff.Posted Sep 29, 2013
We loved our stay. We were there in the off season but were not short of things to do. Be warned the pools are not heated. Still went in then everyday. :-) Use the spa. Staff are great and the treatments are awesome.

A bit isolatedPosted Sep 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great hotel. Beautiful location. Wonderful pools. Dining options all too expensive and nothing easily accessible locally. Beds are not comfortable with gap in middle and pillows look great but aren't.

Brilliant, beautiful and relaxing.Posted Sep 4, 2013
Pros: Every area feels like you are being pampered.
Cons: More frequent bus / shuttle boat to Dubrovnick centre, and cheaper or part of whole cost.
Brilliant, beautiful and relaxing, but just a little far from local real Dubrovnick to walk, but with a car it was marvellous. A nice luxury break.

Great HotelPosted Aug 6, 2013
Pros: Choice of pools and restaurants
Although a little far from the old town the hotel had everything so you did not have to leave. We stayed in the residences, they were spacious, comfy beds and nice view. Would definitely go back.
