A good option for Old TownPosted Jul 20, 2015
Roko House is absolutely nothing fancy but the facilities are pleasant enough. We stayed for three nights and found the room pretty comfortable. Unfortunately while there is an air conditioner it doesn't work very well so it was a little hot. We spent our time out enjoying Dubrovnik and were hardly in our room so we just needed a clean and basic room to sleep in. If this is what you are looking for, I would definitely recommend Roko House. Our room was on the first floor, directly above a pizza restaurant but we didn't find noise to be a problem. The lady who runs the hotel was extremely helpful in arranging a car for us from the airport and showing us on a map where we could find good restaurants and bars.

Ideal location in the centre of the old town.Posted Jul 13, 2015
The room was spotlessly clean and the location could not have been better. With the weather being so hot and after sightseeing all day it was easy to pop back to the room, shower and clean up to be out again in the evening or afternoon. The area is noisy as expected - a restaurant below opens early and stays open late, the deliveries arrive at around 6am and the old town has its streets cleaned in the early hours. However the air conditioned room meant that the shutters and windows could be closed at night to reduce the noise. The lady of the house arranged transport to and from the airport and recommended some places to visit or eat at. Would stay again.

Good central location for Dubrovnik breakPosted Jun 15, 2015
Location: Dubrovnik is exceptionally beautiful. There's nothing to dislike about it at all, except perhaps the hoards of day trippers from the cruise ships!
We wanted a place in the midst of Dubrovnik old town: this was just right. A small place above a Pizzeria (Domenica's). Other reviews had said it was a little noisy but we didn't have any problems at all. Its clean and simple and nicely decorated, good air conditioning, and a small but lovely bathroom. And after a day travelling, finding the place and escaping the crowds on the main streets, there cant have been anything nicer than finding Domenica's artichoke pizza and a cold beer!

Hübsche ZimmerPosted Jun 13, 2015
Pros: - Zimmer zwar sehr klein, aber sehr sauber!
Cons: - -

Posted Jun 8, 2015

Posted Jun 2, 2015

Great apartment in the heart of the Old CityPosted May 23, 2015
Pros: Perfectly situated for exploring the old town. Comfortable facilities. Very clean. Friendly, helpful host. Roof terrace.
Location: The apartment is within easy walking distance of all the old town attractions, as well as the harbour, cable car and public transport links.
This was our first visit to Dubrovnik so we wanted to get the full Old City experience and stay within the city walls. The apartments are a short walk from Pile Gate which is the the nearest entrance to the airport shuttle drop off point. The entrance to the building is actually shared with a restaurant on the ground floor - Pizzeria Domenica - but is clearly signed. The apartments are not staffed 24 hours. However, the owner speaks very good English and it was no problem emailing her to arrange check in. The restaurant staff also speak good English and are happy to help - we got there a little earlier than planned and they made a quick phone call to the owner and she was there within minutes - not mention selling good, very reasonably priced food! The building has clearly been renovated recently and has been done to a high standard. The apartment was immaculate on arrival and consisted of one open plan room with a kitchenette and a shower room. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. All the apartments have access to a roof terrace with lovely rooftop views across the Old City - ideal for aperitifs, nightcaps, or even lunch if you need to escape the cruise ship crowds! Although not advertised as being serviced, we stayed for 4 nights and half way through our stay came back to find fresh towels and the bathroom had been cleaned. We loved our stay in Dubrovnik and are already thinking of going back. If we do we will not hesitate to stay here again

My wife and I loved our stay in this apartment. The location is awesome and the woman who manages the place makes you feel at home. We'd move here if we could!

Heart of Old TownPosted Apr 28, 2015
Cons: Being able to make tea/coffee in the room would be appreciated
Location: As above - you're right in the Old Town
Within two minutes of Pile Gate, the location is fantastic. Our room a little on the small side but absolutely fine for three nights. Close to any number of restaurants for breakfast and, of course, main meals. Superb value for money.
