Close to stradumPosted Jun 26, 2014
Directions the staff gave us to the rooms were great. Very easy to find. We had a slight issue with our room for the first night as it wasnt available, but they gave us another room for the night and then moved us to our room in the morning. We were compensated for the inconvenience. Extremely pleasant host who went out of her way to help us. Even though the pizza restaurant was downstairs it didnt bother us at night as we closed our windows. Very enjoyable place.

Good location in the heart of Dubrovnik's Old TownPosted May 29, 2014
Pros: Clean, comfortable and excellent location. Friendly staff who were always friendly and helpful.
Location: Centrally located in Dubrovnik's old town, which is quite compact, so everything is within a few minutes stroll.
Very pleasant experience. Good location in a beautiful City. Rooms are compact, as you would expect in such a location, but very well presented and very comfortable. Air conditioning and free Wi-Fi were a welcome bonus too. Staff very friendly and helpful.

City CenterPosted May 23, 2014
If being directly within city center is what one desires then you couldn't be more centrally located. The owner was very nice and accommodating.

Room/apartment in Old TownPosted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: Location in Old Town, and enjoyed the terrace one afternoon.
Location: Everything is just steps away as this location is within the town walls
I arrived late at night due to flight issues and had to call to get a key to the room. The directions to the Roko building were perfect and I found it easily after entering the Pile Gate. I was met within 5 minutes of the phone call and I thought that was terrific since it was after 11:00 at night. My first room was just that, a room (Room 1). It was small but that worked fine for me as I was traveling alone. A tea kettle was delivered to me in the morning and I was happy about that as I had been thinking that I should have booked the apartment not the room. Within two days I was the only one in the building and was offered an apartment room (Apartment 1). I would highly recommend booking the apartment as it really is much bigger and better suited for two travelers. Queen size bed and kitchen area make they room perfect. For the remainder of the stay I was the only one in the building but felt safe at night as Old Town given off the feeling of safety.

Lovely studio apartment in old DubrovnikPosted Oct 31, 2013
Pros: The location was perfect, the room was lovely and the roof terrace was a great feature.
Location: We recommend Buza ('cold drinks' bar in the walls) at sunset, the Soul Caffe, lunch in the old port, and a boat trip to Lokrum.
We had never been to Dubrovnik before and were absolutely blown away by the beauty of the city. The old town is car-free and Roko House is very conveniently situated a couple of minutes' walk from the Pile Gate (the main gate where you enter from the bus station, taxi rank etc). Roko House wasn't hard to find - follow signs to the Ethnographic Museum or Mea Culpa Pizzeria, which is just opposite. The owner met us on arrival and was charming, as was her husband who we spoke to on the phone when asking to leave our bags in the room on the last day (they were more than happy to let us do this). The studio was small but beautifully furnished and comfortable; the little roof terrace is a perfect place to stargaze with a nightcap. Despite being so central we didn't find the room noisy (this may be partly because the pizzeria downstairs was closed when we were there). We stayed for 3 nights and wished we had longer.

Fantastic location in the Old TownPosted Sep 17, 2013
I stayed here with my husband in July 2013 for 2 nights. We couldn't have been happier with the location, given our focus was on exploring the Old Town. Roko is an easy walk into the Old Town from Pile Gate, and we managed perfectly fine with our luggage, without having to negotiate any town stairs. Our apartment, while small, had everything we needed including very effective air conditioning, and glazed windows which kept the place suprisingly quiet from the busy restaurants below. The Roko manager was warm and inviting, there to greet us and check us out on time, and made us feel very at home. Pizzeria Domenica, below Roko, was a real treat with their amazing pizzas. I would recommend Roko House to couples that want to explore the Old Town by day, and have a comfortable, quiet, convenient place to walk back to in the evening. Location really is the highlight.

great central locationPosted Jul 28, 2013
Pros: great decor, clean
Cons: Noisy Street
Location: great central location within old town
The apartment is clean and decor excellent, the entrance is a little hard to find as you enter through a shared entrance with the restaurant below but not a problem after the first time. The only downside is being inside the old town it is noisy so bring earplugs.
