Pros: The character of the architecture.
Location: This is an excellent location to explore the various parks and preserves, museums, etc. in and around Dubuque.
A very pleasant experience. The front desk personnel were extremely friendly and helpful.

Love this hotel

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: Rooms, service and proximity to shopping, casino, etc.
Cons: Seemed a little pricey. I had to book online to receive a lower rate as the front desk said they couldn't match online prices even their own website.
Location: Casino, dog races, waterpark, 4th st elevator, etc.
This is my second time staying at this hotel. The service was exceptional and the rooms were very nice. There were plenty of things to do in and around the hotel. The boutique at the hotel was nice. I hope to stay here again.

Pros: Historical, charming, updated
Cons: Bathroom door in our room needed to be adjusted so that the door could close completely.
Location: Nice location
Wi-Fi I was not able to connect on my phone or computer the whole time I was there. We found the Wi-Fi but it was too slow to ever make a connection.

3 day get away during spring break!

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: Very friendly staff, nice pool and hot tub, great location.
Cons: The wifi was spotty but they were working on it. Could also hear some traffic.
Nice 3 day get away....have gone to Galena in the past. It was a nicer hotel than Eagle Ridge and so nice to be close to many restaurants, and no waits, but it was a March Monday and Tuesday! Enjoyed hiking at the Mines of Spain, the art museum and the Mississippi River museum and the sculpture on the river walk. Very enjoyable visit!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Julien. The rooms have been remodeled and are very stylish. We enjoyed the River Boat bar and Caroline's restaurant. We are definitely going back.
