Standard motel quality, rude staff

Decent motel. Housekeeping started knocking 10 minutes before 11am check out time. When I requested late check out as a choice privileges member, I was only offered till noon (should be 2pm)

First the door locks didn't lock had to use the tiny chain!! Then the room was cold and dingy lighting was poor bathroom was dirty and so were some of the towels . The help there was NOT THERE COULDNT REACH THEM.. Wish I stayed at a best western or really anywhere else would of been fine!! When I finally asked the desk help they were speechless !!!!! NEVER AGAIN NEVER!!!!

Outdated and rundown.

Pros: The view is beautiful. The hotel sits at the top of a bluff, and looks out over the river.
Cons: Paint, carpet, new linens, and a great housekeeping crew would do wonders.
The hotel is outdated and rundown, and really needs a major renovation. The floors in the lobby and stairwells were filthy. The carpet on the steps, hallways and our room was incredibly old, and had not been vacuumed, or had not been vacuumed well. The stairs were vacuumed in the afternoon of the second day of our stay, but the tile in the landing still had not been mopped, and was visibly dirty.. The staff was nice, but they were not particularly out-going or friendly. We felt that we could have gone to a national chain hotel that would have been cleaner, and most likely for the same price if not cheaper. The bed was a bit sunk in the middle, and what were supposed to be queen sized beds were most definitely full sized.

Hotel has gone downhill

Pros: Availability and good price
Cons: Needs to be modernized
I have stayed at Timmerman's many times over the years, but conditions seem to be going downhill. The bathroom was not clean and the tile and tub needed new grout. There's music playing in the breakfast area while the TV is on with the strong smell of chlorine throughout the lobby - all added up to a big headache.

Timmermans Hotel & Resort

Cons: Brighten the place up, it was a bit dull.
Location: Great views from the restaurant at the other end of the parking lot. A good stop on the Great River Road route.
The name is misleading, it doesn't feel like a resort. There was construction going on while we were there so I'm sure the hotel will improve in the future. Got woken up at 2AM by some people playing soccer in the parking lot. Great views from the restaurant at the other end of the parking lot.
