While our time was limited to one night, I would not hesitate to stay longer. We were in Dubuque for a wedding and this motel served all our needs well. I wish it we were there in the summer so I could enjoy the wonderful golf course across the street. Good restaurant connected.

We were very happy with our 2 night stay. The hotel and room were very clean and desk clerk was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a comfortable stay with nice pool at a very reasonable price.

I was very pleased with Timmermans, we were mainly looking for a hotel close to the casinos. it was 6 minutes away, nice and quiet. I have recommended this hotel to family and friends. Very impressed and very pleased with the hotel and staff. Can't wait to go back.

“Timmerman's Hotel”

The hotel (it's actually a motel) was a fine place to stay for the night. My only problem was finding it in the dark even with the help of my GPS system. It is definately "off the beaten path" - both by being across the river in East Dubuque and then being off the main road a bit.so I didn't spot it as I drove past.

Convenient location, right on route 20, easy to find. Not much to choose from for breakfast.

“Could've been cleaner but I'd go back.”

The room wasn't the cleanest. A big cobweb went from the window to the dresser. Maybe no one had used the room for awhile. No rooms overlook anything according to the desk clerk and she was right. It's too far back from the road/river. The bathroom didn't look like it had been freshly cleaned for awhile either. Overall, it was a good value for the money. A decent continental breakfast and nice dining room was available.

“making improvements”

We stayed here twice last year and felt they needed to remodel the hotel and try to bring it back to what had to have been a very nice resort property in its day. We were pleasantly surprised to see that someone has started the process. Outside structure had been stained and new doors/windows being installed. Our room was updated with new tile/carpet etc. We did notice that the same blankets were being used, and we still saw some cleaning issues around the windows etc. Hope they continue to update.
