Driver's bewarePosted Jun 3, 2012 on Hotels.com
The hotel and staff were decent for our stay in late May. However, we were unsatisfied overall due to the location of the hotel. The hotel did not have Air Conditioning and was on a busy of a road. it was too loud to keep the window open at night. We drove around for nearly one hour on a Thursday evening looking for a parking spot after trying to fit our average sized rental into the parking garage unsuccessfully. I would hate to see what it's like when the travel season starts. The parking situation in that part of the city is terrible. Many cars are on the sidewalks and double parked. This would only be a good location for someone traveling by a bus or train.

Very happy traveler!Posted Sep 30, 2009
I was only there for 12 hours (essentially just to sleep before catching an early-morning flight) but I was very happy with my room. It was modern and clean even though it was a bit small. The bathroom was spotless and the hair dryer worked. The staff at the front desk are extremely accomodating. I didn't get to use their 'spa' services (massage or pedicure) but the prices were really good so I wish I'd been able to treat myself. It's located on a rather busy street but I found that it wasn't as noisy as I had anticipated. The location itself isn't great in terms of easily getting to the 'touristy' spots; it's an 8 euro cab ride from the train station and 14 euro ride to the airport (which is why I stayed there; the airport hotels are extremely pricy).

Plesantly SurprisedPosted Nov 19, 2008 on Hotels.com
A couple of friends and I were only in town for a weekend and had no idea of where to stay or what to expect. We decided on Hotel AM because it was well priced and from what I read, not too far from town. We arrived and the hotel was well above what was expected. We ordered a triple share room and got what was more like an apartment with a separate sleeping area, more beds in the main area, bath and shower and separate kitchenette. Not to mention the black out blinds which were perfect after a late night in town. A tram stop is right outside the hotel which will take you to the main stations and the U bahn is only a 15 minute walk away if you need it.

The hotel is located near a tram stop, so it's quite easy to get to the Koeningsalle and the Old Town. In the basement there's a sauna complete with a solarium.

great price for aPosted Apr 10, 2008 on Hotels.com
Very convenient to the Messa as well as the airport, each only a bus ride away. For an extra charge, you can have a full breakfast buffet each morning. Staff was very helpful, even to someone with little knowledge of German. Great price, would definitely stay there again!

Good value for moneyPosted Dec 10, 2006
My husband and I have just returned from Dusseldorf after our trip to visit the christmas markets there and Cologne. We managed to get one of the 8 secure parking spaces for our car, so left it there for our visit. We walked to the city centre, approx. 40 minutes, or it was a mere 10 mins. tram ride. They stop right outside the hotel, and are not particularly noisy. The Hotel is clean, quiet and the staff friendly. Breakfast is the usual continental one with a good selection of meats, cheeses, cereals etc. The restaurant linked to the hotel provided us with good food at reasonable prices.Although the rooms maybe small to some, we found them big enough for us. We would definitely use this hotel again.

Pretty good location, only a few minutes away from downtown via tram. Very clean and modern building. Hotel staff not as helpful as i had hoped, probably a language barrier though.
