Be careful. Confusing names.

There is a NH City and a NH City Center. The City is on the other side of the train station and far away from the Messe. Outrages they have so similar names. I was fooled and through away money booking the NH City.

Clean, modern hotel close to the the train station

Posted Mar 3, 2014
This hotel is very good for a business stay in Düsseldorf. It's nice, simple, clean, modern, up-to-date, and with a pleasant staff. If you do rely on Internet, note that the free Wifi is quite limited, and not appropriate for normal use. If you only want to check your email and send a few messages it's fine. Otherwise plan on spending 10 euros a day for reasonable internet. Breakfast, too, is quite expensive: 21 euros.

Dusseldorf November 2013

A nice hotel with friendly helpful staff. Drinks were expensive but no more so than any other. Rooms were nice but painted a strange dull mustard colour . The bed was comfy but pillows so soft they almost disappeared . There was no iron, no coffee only tea and no milk. The tv had lots of channels but only news channels in English . But these are small niggles it was a pleasant place to stay with easy access to all modes of public transport.

NH Dusseldorf during K2013

Hotel if fine clean maybe a bit dated, but the staff are always helpful. The main reason for staying at the hotel is it close proximity to the railway station the goes to the Messe.

The Hotel was just above average 6.5 out of 10

Pros: It was clean
Cons: bar prices, very expensive for spirits
Location: pretty far out from the main shopping areas although there is very good public transport nearby
Had stayed in another 4star hotel the previous night and its facilitys were far greater than this hotel. The rooms were far to hot, the air condition was on but struggled to keep the room cool Bathroom looks as if it has better days and requires to be upgraded

Good for short stays

Posted Aug 6, 2013
Pros: Good bed and shower, efficient staff
Cons: Poor pillows, curtains did not cover entire window, so the sun came in.
Location: Ideal location, very well positioned
Well positioned hotel, very clean and well staffed. The bed was good but the pillows were poor. We picked the hotel because it had a sauna, but when we arrived, it was ungoing maintenance and we could not use it. We were disappiinted by this but the staff gave us each a free drink at the bar to apologise. The sauna was meant to be working the next day, but when we got there it had not been turned on, so we missed out. The breakfast is priced at €21 each, which is extremely expensive, given you can get the same thing at one of the cafe's nearby for half the price.

Cons: Bathroom, air con
Booked a top secret hotel, was disappointed with the location as the expedia website didn't have much information but decided to take a chance. Relatively easy to find with satnav, parking seemed secrure (E16/day). Felt more like a 3 star hotel, tired furnishings, grotty bathroom, room too hot even with air con, wifi didn't work. Can't rate breakfast as went elsewhere, E20 seemed expensive. Wouldn't have felt safe on my own at night, but apart from that location was handy being so close to the U-Bahn, only 4 stops to the city centre.

Quality hotel at a reasonable price

Posted May 20, 2013
Pros: Clean and light and open
Cons: Room cluttered with over flow from minibar
Location: Easy to find near Undergound station
Well located a 20 min walk from main trainstation or one stop on the underground. Next to underground station. Line runs down to Old Town . WiFi in lobby or from rooms that overlook reception. Wired ethernet in rooms, all free. Imbiss next door with reasonable prices. Woolworths over the road.
