I went from having my flight cancelled at the gate, to the Expedia website, to being in a large comfortable room in the space of an hour. Convenient for the airport, this is a surprisingly swish and pleasant place to be, especially in the circumstances. Would absolutely stay here on purpose next time.

We always stay at the Van der Valk Airporthotel Dusseldorf when attending Medica and doing business in both Germany in The Netherlands. Everything about it is excellent - from the staff, to the rooms to the food. It is comfortable, convenient and reasonably priced. Would have really wished they kept the long fireplace in the lobby though.

Excelleng stay, just one night but when my flight was canceled, the team were very accommodating and provided late check out. Food was very good at dinner and breakfast. Will return again as it is convenient for airport

Reserved a junior suite but after one night had to move because A/C was not working (it was 27 degrees inside the room while it was only 22 degrees outside). I arrived, complained about the heat and left for dinner. I was assured that everything was fixed when I returned but that was not the case. Only room that was available was a regular room. Had to pay full price for the torturous first night. Technician said that the corner rooms (suites) were always hot.

Not impressed
Great service on checkin by a lovely member of staff but room was very dusty, towels were very old and worn, sheets were stained and sink was blocked. We checked in late and were so tired we just slept but not up to the isual Van Der Valk standard.

A very nice hotel, large rooms and shower/bathroom, with a super comfy bed. The menu is quite limited especially the room service menu, that being said the food was excellent.

We had also diner: we often went to van der Valk restaurants in Holland, but the food in this one was expensive and under any level.
Shame for the van der Valk group !

Very average hotel - very average experience
Hotel at first glance seemed very nice, staff in the restaurant were kind and helpful. We had an issue with the key card (we did not have it near other cards or a mobile device) had to keep going downstairs to get a new one. Had to keep calling for bath towels these were not replaced although we put them in the bath tub. Overall did not feel the staff at the front desk were friendly or welcoming. Although we had several issues with the card all the staff did as apologise. They did not offer us free breakfast for the inconvenience caused (travelling up and down the hotel with a toddler, 3 days in a row) Wouldn’t stay here again. Had a better experience at the Sheraton in Düsseldorf.
