Very nice visually, but no frills

Posted Mar 28, 2015
The hotel is very nice visually and the rooms are clean and modern but don't expect any of the extras. You're encouraged to not use the maid service in exchange for extra travel points, there were no extra coffee packets available for the room coffee maker and no cables available to hook any personal electronics into the box that's there so you can hook into the tv. The comforter on the bed was covered with a sheet instead of an actual cover and the bar served three food choices (wings, soup and one other, I stopped listening) and I was told that if I wanted "actual food" I should go to the hotel next door. It's step up to be a really nice hotel, they just don't seem to care enough to take the next step.

Nasty

Posted Mar 27, 2015
While trendy looking, this place is a total dump. The walls are paper thin. I could hear every bodily function of the person next to and above me. My room was absolutely trashed. Half the stuff was broken or covered with stains. Staff was useless. No towels the second day. Bed is hard. Food is gross. Don't stay here. Stay at the Embassy Suites nearby. It's in much better shape.

OK hotel

Pros: the staff was helpful, and the Circle K is next door. Rooms were very modern and nice.
Cons: maid service and shuttle is slow
nice hotel and room, but we had to constantly ask for items the maid missed such as clean towels, and water. The maids need a checklist for the rooms like most hotels do. There is no restaurants close, but there is a Circle K next door which is stocked well, and alot of places deliver. The Metro is easy to figure out, and all the sites to see are very accessible. you need several days to see all the sites! Was worth the travel to see this!

Value for your money.

Pros: The staff at the front was friendly. Ashley, Raj, and Marcel were all polite and seemed sincere in their attitudes to want help. Beds were good too.
Cons: Seal around bathroom door was broken. Toilet could be quieter flushing, it seems really old fashioned, almost like a water closet.
Location: Without a car, options are limited. Circle K in front of the hotel. Air and Space museum along the 981 bus route from the airport.
Room was clean, but shown signs of wear. Seal around the shower door was broken which caused water to leak out. The beds were big (Queen) and comfortable to sleep on. The staff overall were polite and friendly. It is what you need it to be, just as a comfortable, clean, spot to sleep in on your vacation or business trip. . Until transportation (Metro Rail) gets up there, getting around means using a car/taxi. There are a few places to order in food (2 Chinese/2 Italian) and a full sit down restaurant at the Hilton Garden Inn right next door. There is a Circle K in front of the hotel we used for snacks and drinks. If your goal is to visit downtown D.C., and you are using public transportation, plan for about 1.5 to 2 hours of travel time. Shuttle to the airport was complimentary which helped a lot. . We would stay there again as long as the value stays the same or improves.

If you need a comfortable room to stay in for the night, this is the place for you. Relatively inexpensive, would be nice if breakfast was complimentary. Friendly and helpful staff always a plus.

The worst experience I had in my life

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Young rude staff, worn furniture... All these things are the reflection of bad management. It is very sad because it seems that at some point the hotel was very nice. I don't recommend it.

Pros: Price point and set up.
Cons: N/A
Location: Restaurants and shopping close by.
When we needed something - all we had to do was ask.
