The first room we were given was VERY noisy at 3 in the afternoon. Was worried, later would be worse!!! . Next to door /stairway and bottom floor. . Manager moved us to much more quiet room on same floor.

You get what you pay for.

If you're looking for a resort stay, then don't stay here. If you're looking for a place within walking distance to the mall then this place is adequate. If you shop for 8 hours, get meals on the outside, and use a hotel room for sleep rather than hanging out all day in, then spend next to nothing and stay here. The beds are fine, the place doesn't smell like pee, and it's a 3 minute walk to the mall, Perkins, Walgreens, and Bed Bath and Beyond. You get what you pay for.

Amazing Value

Pros: friendly and snacks for guests
Cons: Beds - it would be interesting to have management sleep a night and that may increase the awareness to improve them.
Location: Miller Mall was right across the street. Drove to St. Scholastica Drove to Canal Park area - Grandma's - DECC Easy to get the where you want to go.
Coming in well under the Holiday Inn it was worth it to drive down to canal. Free breakfast was good - popcorn snack in the afternoon - and warm cookies in the evenings. No pool but there was a hot tub and work out area which was great when traveling without kids. The beds are not the greatest - remember it is a hotel but there are 4 pillows per bed!! Our 3 night stay was great and this will be our choice when visiting our daughter at college from this point on.

Comfortable bed, hot shower, and more...

Pros: Wonderful service.
Location: Close to the mall, Target, Caribou and Starbucks. Honestly, nothing is really far away making this a good location if you're exploring.
The husband and I needed to fly out early from Duluth, so we looked for a comfortable place near the airport. I'd stayed at this location before so I knew it would be nice. When we checked in, I mentioned that we were leaving around 4:30 a.m. and he made a note of it so the a.m. desk clerk would have the cooler of yogurt available for us. When we checked out the next morning, she not only had that done but the rest of the breakfast was available for us as well. She was disappointed we checked out earlier than we said we would since it wasn't all ready, but we sure appreciated the effort. We stayed at this location again when we returned from our trip, and were pleased at the quick check in, the warm bed and the hot shower. In the morning, we enjoyed a cup of coffee in our room as we repacked our bags and a hot breakfast in the lobby before heading home. Other plusses of this hotel is that it is conveniently located to the mall (across the street) so dinner the night before we left was easy to get to. It's maybe only 10 minutes away from the airport. Even though you are right off the highway, it was fairly quiet. I have stayed at this hotel several times and have always been pleased with the service and room quality for the price paid. I would recommend this location and will most likely stay here again.

Nice hotel convenient to shopping and restaurants.

We came to Duluth to watch a hockey game. We also ate at a restaurant next to the hotel and shopped at stores nearby. This hotel was very convenient for this. Good continental breakfast. Nice friendly staff.
