Thank you for taking the time to provide such comprehensive feedback following your visit. We do apologise about the internet, last week we did change our provider which caused slight intermittent issues but glad that our high speed WiFi is back in full operation throughout the hotel including all televisions. Nevertheless I do apologise for the inconvenience. We do not advertise air conditioning and being in a hotel in South West Scotland, it is not viable to install such an expensive amenity that would only be beneficial on the rare occasion that we receive exceptionally hot weather. We have a large number of fans and cooling towers available on request. There is no hotel in Dumfries that offers air conditioning. Your comment about the steak is unfortunate. While this review is anonymous, we can usually work out who is writing the review based on in-person feedback. The hotel since re-opening has been virtually fully booked booked and have not once had we received any food-related illness. It is also our understanding that two steaks were served to your table (one each) and only one person was ill later in the evening, which could have happened for a great number of other reasons. I am pleased that you enjoyed the leisure facilities during your stay and sincerely hope we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future, and restoring your faith in The Cairndale Hotel. Dear Anonymous Guest, In the hotel we have Birra Moretti & Amstel lagers on Draught and John Smith as an ale. We also have Inch's Apple Cider on Draught.
