Good value

Really good value for money, friendly staff, superb food. Only negative point is that wireless was not free, apart from that the inclusive b&b + 3 course dinner was brilliant.

Lovely setting.

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent.
Cons: The heating . The leisure staff to be more helpful, saying that I only spoke to one , so this may not be an issue.
Location: We visited Falkirk , for the wheel and the Kelpies. Train Station is so convenient for Edinburgh , Glasgow , Stirling etc.
Stay was lovely apart from we found the whole hotel was really cold. No hairdryer in room, had to ask on two separate occasions to get one. Was disappointed on the service from the leisure facilities . Was hoping to book some treatments. Although fully booked for the next four days, which was the duration of our stay. There was no " if a cancellation were to come up, give me your room number and we will contact you etc.. "

Pros: Food excellent Staff very attentive Location excellent
Cons: Free wifi should be standard.
Location: Leisure facilities excellent Views and grounds excellent. Great location.
Excellent hotel. Full of character. Reception staff efficient and staff in the restaurant very friendly, attentive and efficient. Food excellent. Room quite small but comfortable. Only disappointment was having to pay for wifi in your room - not what you's expect in 2014.

Perfect Nights away

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: As stated previously thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Cons: RECEPTION. Possibly sky sports (only has BT sports) in lounge
Location: Dunblane town centre, golf course.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, dinning room & bar staff were all very pleasant. The menu for dinner fantastic choice and everything we ate was delicious. The booking in & out leaves a lot to be desired, I am going to take this up with the Hotel itself.

Spectacular looking hotel at a bargain price

Posted Aug 31, 2014
Pros: The service, food and grand public rooms
Cons: The large room next to the bar seemed a bit soulless
Location: Excellent location for touring Scotland. Little way out from centre of Dunblane, but why would you want to leave this lovely, big hotel?!
Staff were excellent throughout the hotel - friendly and helpful. We went for the dinner, B&B option and it was well worth the money. Food and service in the dining room were very good given how busy the place was. Added to this we had use of the leisure centre as well. The grandeur of the public rooms gives this hotel a special feel, although rooms in the annex are rather functional.

Simply the Best

What a splendid vision of the hotel as you enter the long driveway to the front of the hotel. The grandiose stairway to Reception was so impressive, welcoming you to a customer service ethos, second to none. The room was very comfortable, clean and modern. The food was excellent and to be expected in light of the reputation of the head chef. We used the swimming pool and steam room in our special offer overnight stay with great joy and satisfaction. One last look back as we drive down the driveway fixed the memory of a wonderful experience in my mind for a long time. Well worth the cost.

OK hotel and lovely staff

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: The staff and the architecture
Cons: The internet connection and wifi availability. Also - put Arbroath Smokies on the breakfast menu!
Location: Lovely and pretty location.
The hotel is OK. My main problem was that the wifi connectivity was dreadful and the internet kept dropping. I often travel for business, and this problem would mean I couldn't work - as a consequence, I wouldn't stay here if it was a business trip. Plus all sorts of funny passwords to connect in certain areas of the hotel only etc.. - they seemed to be overly worried about people robbing their internet. However, for just a holiday visit it's fine. The breakfast was a buffet and they charged me extra for an expresso - which I didn't think was fair. Food was standard breakfast - bacon, sausage, fried eggs etc.. I was looking forward to having an Arbroath Smokie and was surprised it wasn't available for breakfast. The hotel bar was somewhat restrictive in choice of cocktails - if it wasn't on the menu, they wouldn't make it. The staff were lovely - very friendly, helpful and happy and more than made up for the very minor issues I had. I would certainly stay here again if I was I tourist - for business, the bad internet means I couldn't stay here.
