The room was very specious and clea. The stuff from the restaurant were very friendly, the lady even helped fix my bag. I liked my stay and will sure stay again.

Good staff, but facilities so so

Pros: Close to Octagon Square.
Cons: Single lane( and one way drive ) is in front of the gate. Car park on a descent. Only one lift for serve all four floors.

Pros: Location.
Cons: Tea and coffee should be included with the breakfast price, not charged as an extra, when you can make it in your room for free.
Location: Handy to everything
We would have dined at the restaurant had the blackboard in the foyer listing specials had prices listed.

Comfortable room with great view

We enjoyed our one night away at the Kingsgate Hotel. Nicely appointed room with great views over Dunedin. Close to town and good parking facilities.

Great hotel, poor internet choices

Posted Jan 8, 2015
Pros: Location! Room size!
Cons: Internet! More parking for guests. Check-out time later than 10 AM.
Location: One block off the Octagon, close to restaurants and shopping.
The hotel uses an ISP that charges high rates for small data volumes. In order for this hotel to be business friendly, they need to change providers or programs so that real business can be conducted. I had to go find free wi-fi zones around town when I used up my allotment. It was a great hotel in the best location possible, but I just couldn't get business done here.

Location: Close to everything, Good views
Facilities: Modern; Value: Average price; Service: Basic; Cleanliness: Spick and span; We arrived in the late evening, and had a 4:00am wake up call, so we weren't there very long.

Cons: No free internet in the rooms. Surprising in this day and age.
Limited and difficult parking. I'm unlikely to stay there again.

Thank you very much for your feedback it is much appreciated. We offer complimentary 30minutes of wifi in the lobby area, then in the rooms charges start from $3.00. We have a great location in the heart of the CBD however this can lead to tight parking when we are a full hotel.
