Very nice find!

Posted Dec 10, 2014
Pros: Easy to get to and close to downtown.
Cons: The parking is a bit of an issue. It was about a block away and thru a very narrow alley into a dark garage. Parking in Dunedin is an issue for all.
This is an old hotel but is very quiet and comfortable. The staff was very nice and accommodating! The elevator was the old style that you had to operate the doors yourself, which was very unique! It was about a 10 minute walk to the Octagon which was nice because it made the hotel very quiet. A very pleasant place to stay...

Overpriced for what it is

Posted Nov 27, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Everything
Location: Close to Casino, Octagon, easy driving access to everywhere
We (thankfully) only booked for 1 night last weekend for a bit of a shopping trip as the hotel looked old, clean and cute in the pictures. We arrived while it was raining and were then advised that the paid parking wasnt under the hote, it was a block away so we had to drive away adn walk back to the hotel in the rain. The elevator didnt take us to our floor it seems to take you to a middle area and then there are more stairs to get to the level of the room?? Once inside the room (already not liking the hotel) we were greeted by a small room with dirty windows and carpets, paint peelign off the wall, the headboard material had worn thin from so many guests leaning against it, scum throughout the bathroom, the bathroom sink has cracks through it and our bed only had 2 pillows. It may be a luzury thing to have expected for a hotel, but we always sleep with 2 pillows. We paid $129 for the room and were very disappointed, maybe if we had paid $60 for it the quality would have been ok? We checked out very disappointed the next morning, found a great motel the same distance (if not closer) to the shopping strip for an extra $10 that was 1000 times better. We are actively telling our friends not to visit this hotel!

Convenient location

Posted Nov 12, 2014
Pros: Quaint lift
Cons: Perhaps more room
Location: A short stroll to. The city with plenty of excellent eating places
Although the hotel is in a very convenient location, we had no view and the room was very small

Good Service, Comfy Bed

Posted Aug 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
Our room was exceptionally clean, the bed was very comfortable and the service was great. The parking that was available at an additional cost was very close by and took away the worry of finding parking on the busy street. The bathroom needs upgrading however as it was very clean it was not a problem. Overall a great stay!

Right In Town

Posted Aug 1, 2014
Pros: The room was comfortable and had everything I needed.
Cons: Electric blankets? That would have been a nice touch.
Location: I met a friend up the road at the Casino - just for a beer and a bowl of chips! - but nice to be able to walk just a few metres up the street.
After a long day of travel from Christchurch via a relocation car; I found Park Regis Dunedin a great place to crash for a night. I enjoyed the luxury of staying in a hotel at a reasonable rate.

Park Regis Dunedin

Simple booking. Simple room. No free internet in room but available in lobby. Good place for a basic inexpensive stay - no frills. Good cafe just 2 doors down the road.

Great location to downtown and very comfortable.

Pros: Location!
Cons: Better parking is needed.
Location: Dunedin CBD and many places of interest are within walking distance. You don't need a car!
All worked well for a 4 day stay in Dunedin CBD for a tourist/holiday experience.
