Staff were very friendly and helpful and the room itself was very clean and tidy. The bathroom was a bit dated and the fridge a little noisy, besides that I think that this is a comfortable, reasonably priced hotel.

We arrived for check-in at 8:30pm and were the only people in reception. The person on reception pointedly ignored us and continued looking at his computer screen for a couple of minutes before deigning to help us. There was zero friendly greeting and we were made to feel like an inconvenience. As we always go out of our way to be friendly and polite to people in service industries, this was a lousy experience. Our room was tired, dated and drab and we were glad to check out as soon as possible the next morning. I can't comment on other facilities at the hotel. Since check-in was so unpleasant we made a point of going elsewhere for breakfast the next morning. We had to return to Dunedin for another night a week later. If this hotel had been okay then we would have re-booked for sure. Thankfully, we stayed elsewhere for a similar price and received much better service in a hotel that was far nicer. I don't normally leave poor reviews, but check-in was so notably unpleasant that I had to say something.

It was safe clean and comfortable and centrally located. However there were no instructors on how to operate, the TV, the radio or the heating .The bin in the bathroom wasn't emptied.

One of the older buildings in Dunedin which is very unique. Unless you paid for parking there is very little options nearby. Unfortunately the double bed (or two singles joined together) was terrible with a duvet covering the single mattresses followed by bedding on top. Just made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. Great staff and location though in the CBD

The hotel was conveniently located in central Dunedin. It also had a good on-site restaurant/bar. My only complaint was the lack of self-parking (when I arrived, the hotel said that they were doing valet parking only). The on-street parking outside was only 1 hour max (from 9am-6pm).

When we checked in three maids on our floor were talking, we overheard them say there was blood on the sheets should we report it’s. We didn’t think anything of it. we looked at the sheets in the morning we found blood on the sheets. We asked for a refund we were told they could not do a refund.

Pleasant comfortable stay
A pleasant stay in a central location. Good- sized rooms, comfortable beds. More drawer space would be an improvement. Excellent breakfast choices. Reception and room service superior.

Great central Dunedin location. Really like the Ports o’ Call bar and grill writhin the hotel. Rooms are quiet, clean and roomy.

16th visit to hotel that ecplains everything. Only issue is why guests have to pay car park fee at hotel. $20 a day seems too much.
