Pros: See comment above
Cons: See comment above
Location: Near the red line in Washington DC. Very good location.
The hotel was clean, the room was a large size and we loved the extra vanity outside the bathroom. The staff was always super accommodating. They even approached us to ask what they could help with. Our only issue, and it was not awful, was the shower head. It must be water efficient, but the spray was so weak and fine I felt like I was taking a shower without getting wet! It took forever to rinse out my hair. That will NOT prevent me from staying there again, however.

Great location to DuPont CirclePosted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: The two-room suite and location. We paid for the parking package when we booked which saved us some $ rather than paying for it when we checked in.
Cons: No free Wi-Fi
Location: DuPont Circle is two blocks which offers many restaurants and bars for your dining pleasure.
Really the only negative I will add is the hour they offer for cocktails each evening. It's great if you drink cocktails. They offered celery, carrots, and pretzels on night and broccoli, grape tomatoes and chips the second night. Not exactly a happy hour menu. Otherwise, the room was large and comfortable, great location to walk to restaurants and business on Connecticut ave. My family walked to the White House because the weather was warm but I won't recommend it on a cold day!

In desperate need of refreshing; internet poorPosted Mar 17, 2015
Pros: Great location, staff helpful
Cons: See above.
Location: Great location. Walking distance to many points of interest.
We have stayed here a year ago and again two weeks ago and it has gone downhill. First, the internet was almost nonfunctional during our entire stay. We could not get a good signal in our room and when we did, the internet was still terribly slow. The fees guests are charged to use the internet in many hotels these days are obscene. The wifi should at least work. But the internet access problems are minor compared to what the real problem is. The rooms are worn, dated, dirty, and in desperate need of a refreshing. The airducts were all dusty. The carpets were torn and frayed. The breakfast was fine, staff friendly enough, and the location is great. However we are not going to stay there again until the entire hotel is brought into the 21st century. It is long overdue to be gutted and redeveloped.

Pros: Breakast and happy hour
Cons: Pool area could be a bit nicer / renovated
Easy place to stay with children due to the layout of hotel. Kids enjoyed having a little independence during happy hour, watching the movie provided, etc. The layout also made for a very quiet night, and we all slept well without much noise at all...

Never againPosted Mar 16, 2015
Staff was rude and displayed very little hospitality or care of the guests. Maids did a very poor job of cleaning. Room was not comfortable. And the entre visit was very unpleasant.

Great stay, nice hotelPosted Feb 19, 2015
Location: We had dinner at Grillfish one night which was awesome. We also had dinner at the Chinese next door to Grillfish and the Pho was awesome.
We booked this hotel to stay in a different location this time (we come to DC every year). The beds were incredibly comfortable and everything else was typical Embassy Suites. Lots of choices for breakfast and it wasn't such a madhouse because hours for breakfast one day was until 10:30. Other days it was just fine. I love the breakfast just because it saves me so much time. Seating area downstairs was nice. We actually had the evening drinks and snacks this time which we never did before at an Embassy Suites and it was very relaxing. The Koi fish were very sweet to look at. I used the gym and the equipment was very good - Precor machines that looked new-ish. There were some happy kids in the pool and there was a whirlpool also that looked inviting. The parking at the Ritz (next block) was cheaper ($32?) but both have in / out rights. Due to the number of guests parking we had to park at the Ritz first but then we moved to Embassy Suites parking lot. There was free Wifi. Or maybe it's because I'm a hhonors member. In any case, we had no trouble with Wifi. Would we stay here again? Probably if we want to stay in Georgetown. It was very comfortable and the people were very friendly and overall we had a great experience.

Great place to stay - home away from homePosted Jan 16, 2015
Pros: We were made to feel special and its a wonderful place to stay.
Location: Great choice of restaurants within two blocks. Metro stations are within quick walking distance. All tourist sites are close by.
So many good things to say. Fantastic warm welcome from the front desk staff ( Sergio especially ) that continued to assist and help make our stay memorable. In fact all the staff from the concierge, porters, waiters right through to cleaning staff were friendly and made us feel at home. Unique lobby / atrium and dining area that completely relaxes and takes you away from the city environment. Spacious, very comfortable suites that provided a luxury feel. Fantastic variety and choice from the breakfast buffet that catered for a families various tastes

I had the worst room in the entire building.Posted Jan 6, 2015
I asked to switch my room and the stuff told me it's sold out. I called with different phone number and found out they still have room available. I stayed there 3 times and enjoyed every minute but this time I had the worst time ever. To be honest I don't think I will stay at this hotel ever again.
