“Great for the price!”
It's old, but the service was great and it was very clean! Not close to the airport, however. Close to skiing.
“Good stay”
Our room was unique and may not be typical. It was quiet in a residental neighborhhood behind the hotel. Beyond that was a mountain with no development. The frontage street was busy but it did not affect our room at the rear. It was non-smoking and the linens were in good condition. Our bath had a tub and shower and two rooms with a sink each. Wi-Fi worked well and was an easy hook up. The only disappointment was the 'free' continental breakfast. It was do-nuts only with coffee or hot chocolate. That was it. The room was maybe a little overpriced, but ski season was still on so that makes it hard to gauge. We were only passing through.
“Good for the price”
Had some issues but management sorted them out cheerfully. Some rooms are old and a bit worn, others look freshly renovated. If you're worried about security ask for a room by the office--they have deadbolts and sturdier doors. It's not a 5-star place but doesn't charge like one either. Like most hotels, even modern ones, rooms needed more electrical outlets. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again. Good value, especially for a resort town.
“clean & friendly but old and in need of repair”
The staff members were so nice. The room was very clean. We didn't have any noisy neighbor problems. The hot water system needed help. During showers, we got a two second blast of scalding water about every minute. The barely working heater was noisy all night. Clean and safe but definitely not a luxury place.
“Never again”
We stayed at this hotel two nights. The free WiFi wasn't working either night. The TV was not set up properly so we could not watch the channels that were supposedly provided. The office was locked in the morning so there was no continental breakfast as advertised. However, the dealbreaker was that the curtains did nothing to block out the extremely well-lit parking lot so our room was so bright we couldn't sleep. I also had to clean out the bathtub before we could use it. We will never stay here again.
“Not Impressed”
They should buy good pillows so people can sleep better. The ones that they have in the rooms are very bad!! To flat and old.
“Bad-shape inn”
The heating was inadequate, the sink was clogged. Generally, the room was in bad condition, with worn out furniture. The breakfast was minimal.
“Knights Motel(Alpine Inn) Durango CO”
This motel had a manaager with little empathy and warmth. The room was small, pokey and shared and entrance. The noise from lumbing was enough to wake us up regularly. The breakfast was miserly. In short, this was the worst of the 22 motels we visited in the USA by a large margin. There were motels on offer in the same road at half the price that would be better
