Disappointing.

Posted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Clean and upkeep the rooms better. Rooms were very run down with chipped paint and dirty walls.
Location: Very close to downtown.
I was surprised how small the rooms were with larger furniture. There was a sliver of floor between the bed and the bathroom. Room was dirty with paint coming off the wall.

Clean, but disappointing

Posted Aug 30, 2014
We had a small room in the corner of the complex. We could hear our neighbors in the next room, and every time they were coming and going. It wasn't much, but it was clean. We were on a 3 week road trip, and this place ranked near the bottom of the places we stayed. For the money, you can do much better elsewhere.

Great value for Durango

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Trustworthy - clean, comfortable. Not more than you need, but just right for the cost.
Cons: While it was clean, it is a bit older and a little run down. One of the pillows was definitely ready to be pulled from the rotation :)
Location: Great trail access and views. The Animas Mountain Trail runs almost directly behind the hotel!
This hotel was a pleasant surprise! It was clean and friendly with all the amenities covered. Beds were soft, AC and fridge fully functional, wifi, cable. The only things you may want to plan around (if you need them in your room) are a coffee maker and hairdryer. Loved the convenience of the location! Close to trails, groceries, etc. After having tried other hotels in Durango, and either spent more than I felt was necessary for the accommodation or been sorely disappointed by the quality/cleanliness, I would stay at this hotel every time in the future. Great value for the cost.

Nice Hotel in Durago

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: The woman that runs the hotel (Amy) was awesome. Hotel was priced right. Continental breakfast was simple but sufficient. Great waffle maker.
Cons: The bed was a little harder than i like but my husband had no issues. Would have liked milk or ice tea with the breakfast since I don't drink coffee.
Location: Right on the main road in Durango and the road to Silverton if you are not going by train or bus. Opportunities to river raft.
Went to ride the train to Silverton and take the mine tour. Free trolley pick up one block away from the hotel to drop off near train station. Train Museum was nice and informative. Watching the steam trains come ago was very interesting. My husband was like a little kid at the toy store running around taking pictures and videos. It was a very nice (long) weekend getaway. Restaurant at train station was very good but pricey. Staff was great though.

Economical stay on way to destination

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff. Clean bathroom. Economy price which adds up to good value in Durango, CO.
Cons: The price is fair for the offerrings.
Location: We stayed overnight on our way to the Telluride Jazz Festival.
The Desk Clerk was friendly and prompt. Our price paid via our Expedia reservation was honored with no questions or problems. The room was fine for a quick stay as we traveled to our destination. If your vacation money will be spent on entertainment, adventure and food than this place will leave some money in your pocket and allow for a safe and clean rest at night.

CONVENIENTLY LOCATED

Posted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: breakfast
Location: Short drive to downtown and other activities as well
Nice Motel to crash at, not fancy but clean and friendly. Continental Breakfast could use some improvement. Didn't spend much time there except to sleep. Would stay there again.

Nice place

The breakfast was sparse and only carbohydrates. The room was clean and comfortable, but not too big.
