“Historic hotel in great location”

Lovely historic hotel with charming decor. Located near train station -- walk to shops and restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff. Free parking. Very limited continental breakfast. Great stay!

“Booked Palmer but put at Hotel Next Door”

Beware! The General Palmer is actually two different hotel facilities but they dont tell you that. Main hotel is the nice historic one. However many of the rooms are actually in a hotel a half block away. That one has no elevator, requires a climb up long stairs, and you totally miss out on the historic hotel ambiance, look, and historic lobby which is usually the reason you would pick this hotel. But you still pay the same top-dollar price and the substitution isnt disclosed until you check-in and are stuck!
