A real home from home with a friendly atmosphere and high quality accommodation. We are a 5* Gold awarded guest house boasting many additional awards.
All rooms are exquisite and individually themed with en suite facilities. Take tea or even champagne on the lawn and enjoy our tranquil setting in beautiful countryside by the River Tees.

“Rare Excellence”
I have previously used the Clow Beck when on business trips in the North East and always regarded it as my little secret. Somewhere to get away from it all and have a proper bit of down time in excellent surroundings and with the most amenable of hosts. This time I used it for leisure purposes as I wanted to treat a friend of mine to a night of comfort as he is walking John O'Groats to Lands End. Suffice to say we were treated to exceptional hospitality, generous portions of proper home cooked food and a room where all needs have been catered for. He hit the road completely refreshed. Clow Beck House has it right in so many areas that you cannot get in chain hotels, and I cannot recommend this place too highly.

The owners are the perfect hosts. The room was beautiful and very romantic, and the breakfast was absolutely incredible - David, the owner, is an amazing chef! I'm just sorry we didn't get chance to eat there in the evening too. A perfect little hideaway for a romantic break.
“Very comfortable place to stay”
Lovely little place to stay, friendly owners and very comfortable room. If I was in the area on business again I would definitely stay here.
