Lovely location.Posted Jun 13, 2015
Pros: Location was lovely. The ensuite was enormous, about half the size of the bedroom!
Cons: The room we stayed in downstairs was a bit tight, meaning that there was only one bedside table and no bedside lamps. Not sure which entrance to use.
Location: Beautiful outlook. Visited relatives so didn't explore the area.
Stayed overnight en route to Scotland. Easy drive along coast to Edinburgh. Visited relatives so did not eat in the hotel. Friendly locals asked if we wanted to join in the regular quiz! Parking was a little tight immediately in front of the entrance.

Old fashioned village hotelPosted Apr 30, 2015 on Hotels
Six nights total with some in a delightful front bay-windowed room looking over Front Street and the wooded banks of the Tees, full of birds, and locals walking dogs. Great breakfasts, very pleasant pub in the evening (we were elsewhere with family for other meals). Proprietor Anthony and all his staff very friendly and accommodating.

Friendly staff. Comfortable room. Good food.Posted Mar 27, 2015 on Hotels
Friendly staff at reception, bar and restaurant and at breakfast. Comfortable, clean room with adequate room facilities. Nice quilted toilet paper! Good food for dinner and very good breakfast both cold and cooked included for free! Very reasonably priced the course menu for dinner. Free car parking. 18 to 20 minute drive to nearby teaching hospitals. Didn't expect 5* but was very pleased with stay. Would recommend certainly.

Room was fine...bathroom needed a little attentionPosted Mar 20, 2015 on Hotels
Arrived fairly late and had to walk through to pub to get attention to check in. Friendly welcome and pleasantly surprised by size of the room. Got good wi-fi access and was able to work. Bathroom was spacious, but really needs some tlc. Had a nightmare with the rubber plug sticking in the sink, and with nothing attaching it to the sink, I can imagine others having similar issues. Overall, it was satisfactory for my needs and would probably stay again, if on my own...but would look elsewhere, if I was with my wife.

家庭的なホテルPosted Jan 23, 2015
