“Simple and basic-in all positive ways!”

Great place a few miles from Durham. Really cute rooms-simple, tastefully decorated, comfy beds and plump pillow. It was clean save for a couple of smudges on the walls and a tiny bit of dirt in a bathroom corner. Maid comes everyday. Breakfast is provided in a little fridge in the hallway-cereal, toast, juice. Rooms are not 100% noise proof and our room was col at night but very warm with the May morning sun. Still really liked the place though! Food in pub is pretty decent with good prices. Overall I would say the King's head is very nice and basic-perfect for us as we spent days away. I would stay again if I were in the area.
