As Good As It GetsPosted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: Excellent breakfast buffet. Great staff. Walk to RR for trip to York. Quiet, large room with climate controls, computer-size safe, lots of stuff.
Cons: No problems. Much better than anticipated.
Location: Central to RR Station, Durham Univ., Cathedral, on River, close to Restaurants, Bars, Cab to and from Newcastle AP is 35 pounds.
Reserved a standard double. Asked for an upgrade at check-in. They gave us an Executive Suite for 40 pounds more per night. With an Executive Suite you get free breakfast buffet (excellent) for two, free newspaper, twice the room size with sofa, wine each evening, water, free parking, etc. Wow! What a deal. On river close by Durham University, Rail Station, Restaurants, Bars. The Best.

Location: Again must visit crook hall really enjoyed the visit and tour good value
Expensive, pay for parking very impersonal. Crook Hall is just next door and certainly worth a visit on a Sunday morning.

Good hotelPosted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: The view and the facilities
Cons: The breakfast. Very expensive for not that good a quality. Long life juice . Over cooked bacon . Tepid ingredients in the hot food category .
The radisson Blue is in a good position especially if you get a front facing room. The rooms are starting to look rather dated with an awful lot of browns and orange. A good bathroom and spacious bedroom. The air conditioning needs to be a little more responsive

Good LocationPosted Aug 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
Very enjoyable stay in a nice hotel. Service and Breakfast very good. The only thing disappointing is what is advertised a king bed is actually to smaller beds pushed together. For a hotel of this standing I would expect a proper king bed.

Excellent!Posted Aug 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
An excellent hotel. Very new, very very nice. Only one downside, my room had an annoying "hum" all night long, despite switching off every electrical device I could find.

Overnight stayPosted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: The location and facilities were the best features of the hotel.
Cons: The rotating door at the main entrance must be the slowest in creation, and the parking arrnagements are not the best or most flexible.
Location: Durham town centre is only a short walk away with shops, bars and restaurants as well as the cathedral and castle.
The Radisson is a well appointed hotel in a good location within easy reach of the town centre. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, and the facilities are in keeping with a hotel of this type.
