Third visit to this hotel but probably our last.Posted Sep 18, 2014
Pros: Nice swimming pool area & nice grounds.
Cons: Room cleanlyness.
Location: Hotel is set in nice grounds just a few miles off the A-1 & close to Darlington.
We have stayed at this hotel twice in the past & have been more than happy with the standard of accomodation. However on our recent stay the cleanlyness of our room was far from satisfactory. There were black dog hairs on the bed sheets, duvet, bathroom floor & around the bath. The shower curtain was very mouldy & there were several cobwebs around the room and the ceiling had dead mosquitoes on it. As the hotel was fully booked we were unable to move to a different room so the receptionist arranged for the room to be cleaned and for the bedding & shower curtain to be changed whilst we went out for the evening. On our return, the room was much improved (although the duvet was clean it was a single in a double cover ) and a bottle of Proseco had been left for us as compensation. Although staff were appologetic, we feel more should have been done to remedy the situation.

Very nice stay - excellent roomPosted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Great location in lovely gardens
This is a hotel that caters for weddings - so it will be pretty full and boisterous at weekends. But the rooms are spacious, and the dinner was lovely.

Shocking bar mealsPosted Aug 20, 2014
Late arriving at hotel - only bar meals available. The quality of the food was appalling! Very disappointed as the hotel location and ambience were fine. Took the edge off our short stay.

A taste of Castle but...Posted Aug 13, 2014
The building is impressive first. A huge mansion build some 400 years ago or so. The room was really vast with a comfortable bed but... Absolutely no flexibility of the room service (we checked in pretty late and ordered food 4 min after the 22:00 limit but were only authorized the night menu). No fridge in the room--an empty furniture obviously supposed to hide was present though--and some of the appliances were in bad shape (broken mirror for example).

Stately entrance facadePosted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Facade and gardens
Cons: Rooms and interior decor could use an update
There is a beautiful looking hotel, with a lovely facade and gardens. Facilities are good, rooms are a good size and its fabulously quiet given its off road location. The rooms themselves are a little dated and tired, but are clean...through perhaps somewhat dark given all those energy saving bulbs!

Beautiful Location, Poor Bathroom FacilitiesPosted Jul 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
Redworth Hall is in a beautiful location and very grand upon arrival. Staff at reception very courteous. Unfortunately, however, we chose stay in a standard room the bed was comfy and room facilities average but the bathroom was disgusting, I have stayed in cleaner travel lodges/premier inns, it smelt of stale damp and there was no way I was having a shower/bath during my stay, clearly needing a revamp! very disappointing.

Bad Wi FIPosted Jul 11, 2014 on Hotels.com
Internet connection and mobile phone connection very poor and hardly unable to do any work from my room. Did complain to reception who said they would look into it but it got no better. Will not stay here again because of this.

Nothing specialPosted Jul 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
The staff at the desk arent the friendliest in the world, but efficient. The first room I had was too warm with no aircon and only velux windows which I couldnt open so I got a move. 2nd room much better, still no aircon though. Rooms have very '80's' decor. Lots of brass and dark wood so is in need of major update.Brakfast was really nice.
