A home away from homePosted Jul 25, 2014
Pros: I appreciated the relaxed, friendly and welcoming atmosphere of the house.
I was welcomed into the house as though I was a family member. I had full use of the kitchen for cooking an evening meal - a service rarely found elsewhere. As the bus station is some distance from the B&B, I was driven there by the owner the next morning.

Fantastic friendly service, superb choice of breakfast. I hope we are able to stop off at Woodland Guest House again, as I feel I have made a friend in the proprietor and our stay was excellent.

Lovely family friendly hotelPosted May 19, 2014
Pros: Maude was so accommodating. She didn't mind our little girl (1.5 yrs) being a bit of a handful
Location: It's a ways off from darlington so you're better getting a taxi I reckon but we didn't mind walking. Not a lot in Darlington though.
I wasn't expecting much based on the pictures but was very pleasantly surprised, even a little blown away. The beds were very comfortable, everything was immaculately clean, the bathrooms were very nice (good shower), the breakfast was good. Cool and quiet rooms and the rocking chair was nice too :)

Warm welcome guaranteedPosted Feb 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
I can highly recommend the Woodland guest house, ideally located for visits for as far south as York and as far north as Tyneside. The facilities are superb and cleanliness of the whole facility is exemplary.Breakfast are to a very high standard and better than I have experienced in hotels costing a lot more.Guests are guaranteed a warm welcome from Mo the owner.I would not contemplate staying anywhere else if I were to revisit the area in the future.

Pros: The welcoming nature of the landlady
Location: The town of Darlington is within walking distance.
We were made very welcome along with our dog. It was like home from home. The room was lovely and clean with comfortable beds and a lovely breakfast. The landlady was very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. It was a truly lovely experience. I would thoroughly recommend this guest house and hope to return.
