Good hotel for the price, and close to station and centre

“Good value”

This was one of the cheapest places we could find within close proximity to town, so it was quite good really. The room was a reasonably sized suite, the bed was comfy, and it was only about a 20 min walk into town. The only downsides were the shower (there was no real door, so water got all over the bathroom), and the kitchen (the ONLY utensil was a tea spoon and the fridge is full of minibar stuff), but we were never going to use the kitchen. The breakfast was awesome and the staff were friendly. I'd go back...

“Great”

That's a great hotel and recommended to try it if you are heading to Dusseldorf. Nice environment and easy to find at all.

“Not impressed”

I came to the medica conference and the hotel is quite far from the messa. The street is not close to a shoping center or public transportation (the nearby metro is hard to access. I asked for a no smoking room but the last one left had no light in the bath room and the bed was on a floor up to room entrance and very steep stars lead there. So they finally gave me a smoking room, next to the one. The smellw as very heavy and opening the windows for a long time didn't help The team is extremly nice and cooperative and breakfast is nice. No facilities for tea or coffee in the room or outside, just a minibar with cold drink for a pay and automated machine with snakes and cold drink

“No English TV channels”

Enjoyed this hotel throughly during my recent trip to Dusseldorf and the surrounding areas. Hotel room was on the 4th floor and the only noise i could hear was a trains passing by and the occasional German who was drunk. Noise from traffic or trains don't really bother me and once you close the window you don't hear that much anyway imho. However, that may just be me not being bothered by trains, cars, etc. Fortunately, i wasn't near the main lift shaft, although there was another less busy one nearer my room also but i didn't hear much. Overall, i enjoyed the hotel and experienced excellent comfort throughout. The room was spacious, clean and i was left in peace to enjoy my stay. The cleaners were great and didn't bother me if i put the 'do not disturb' sign up. I was there until 11 and 12 most mornings and just put the 'please make up my room' sign up when i was going. Hey presto, i returned to a clean room and an empty bin. Also, the staff were mainly friendly and helpful, especially the manager. He was very good at his job and speaks perfect english-total gentleman. Talking of which, the TVs are old and do not have any english channels. For me, this was a major disappointment as my german is very basic & a work in progress. True, i'm in Germany but..... The TV's are also very old. They seem to have other national channels but nothing for the English speaking tourist, which is very surprising. However, for me, it was an excellent hotel. Thanks.

“Weird place”

One of the strangest places I have stayed. It had availability during the trade fair which is why I didn't stay at my usual hotel, but it was just a bit odd. The reception area is fine (not 24 hour though). I was on the 5th floor in a split level room. On the lower floor was the main room and a private balcony and bathroom with a television that didn't work and a phone hanging off the wall by the wires. There were white powder stains on the floor and damp staining on the ceiling. In the corner were some VERY steep open stairs up to a single be and a wardrobe and a window with nothing but a net curtain. I wouldn't plan to stay here again but I've stayed in worse places, although all of those places were called 'hostel' rather than 'hotel'.
