"love to go back"
Having read the reviews we did wonder and dindn't expect a lot but we had a great time and met some lovely people. Hotel was clean and cleaned every day, Staff was friendly and helpful, Breakfast was good and plenty of it and Evening Meal reasonable priced. The Hotel itself was easy to get to once you know where you are going, we did our own research about the City we where about to visit and with the help and tips given in some of the reviews managed to get around fine. All in all we love to go back and visit Rome and the Hotel again.

"Hotel close to Metro Station"
This was our first visit to Rome, Italy. Even though we did not speak any Italian, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent service and breakfast fit for a king or queen. I would recommend anyone to this hotel.

"Brilliant hotel & Rome experience"
The hotel was brilliant; very helpful English speaking staff who go out of their way to help with a smile but not in an over bearing way, all 10 standard rooms ( very high standard) are on ground level, if you drive you can park right outside your door. A bulb went off in our room at 11.30 one night, a member of staff changed it without fuss or issue within 2 minuets; staff cover reception 24/7, we only seen a very small team of three staff so they get to know you and your needs very well, The continental breakfast each morning was lovey, wide choice of pastries, yoghurts, cakes, juice etc, all very fresh, you can eat in a lovely patio area outside in the sun. The hotel is located at the edge of Rome, approximately 9 miles from the Centre, you have to travel out via bus & metro to eat; the bus stop is round the corner of the hotel and several buses do run to the metro station; 15 minutes approx, the metro runs every 10 to 15 minutes and takes approx 20 minutes to to the Colosseum, the last bus back is at 11.20pm, if you miss this it will cost you dearly in a taxi. Rome was a fabulous experience, not enough space here to elaborate to do it justice, go and experience it

"Old fashioned charm far outside tourist area"
This hotel smacks of a bygone era. Forty years ago, one imagines, it was crazy glamorous. It is no longer four star by American standards... The beds are hard and the sheets scratchy, but it had many plus sides. Arrival from the airport was difficult as we had to take a cab and our cabbie drove us well out of the way and the ride was very expensive. Our room was enormous and we had a private patio, which was great as we put our seven year old to bed and sat out there. Breakfast was nice and the restaurant with the hotel was fantastic and very reasonable for Rome. The biggest downside was the distance from historical sights and it only worked for us because we came back early at night to put our child to bed. I would not have felt safe walking from the Metro to the hotel later at night.

"Very pleasant stay! I would visit them again."
The hotel is nice. It has a european sytle breakfast buffet. From the advertisement I was led to believe it was American style but it wasn't. It was acceptable though. The hotel does have access to a small lap pool but it is not what you you would expect. It is part of a fitness club and they use it for their water aerobic training. There are very short periods where open swimming is allowed but even then it is not for kids playing. The fitness center itself was great if you like to lift weights or use tread mills, excercise bikes, etc. The hotel staff was really helpful when ever asked for help. There was a misunderstanding about the number of family members I had versus the size of the room we were given through Expedia. The hotel modified and placed us in a larger room at no extra charge and showed no displeasure. The rooms were very clean, well kept, and comfortable. The hotel is about a 1/2 mile walk to a metro station and 1/4 mile walk to the nearest bus stop. The hotel is about 5 or 6 kilometers from the city center but the transit system is easy to use. It cost 1 euro per person to go anywhere on the subway line. 24 hour subway passes were available and would save money if you are going to multiple locations in the same day. We found that one pass was adequate to get us where we need to go in the downtown area and walked from there. The local area seemed safe to walk around as well. If I return to Rome I will contact this hotel again.

    EUR, Rome Hotel Guide

A couple of miles south of the city centre, EUR takes its name from Esposizione Universale di Roma, built for an exhibition in 1942. The bombastic architecture was then intended to glorify Fascism, but now is home to shops, cinemas and clubs and exhibitions. Within the marble halls there are also three very good museums, including the fascinating Museum of Roman Civilization.
