Too much smoke in the check-in room. An old motel - but comfortable.

Best Value for the money near Angel FirePosted Aug 27, 2013
My wife and I always like staying at the cabins here, even if just for 1 night as a getaway from the hustle and bustle of Albuquerque. We like the funky charm and the old saloon. The owners are very responsive to any request and quite helpful and knowledgeable about the history of the area. We'll keep coming back!

Great Stopover in the mountainsPosted Aug 13, 2013
Pros: Good value, clean rooms, quaint little village, motorcycle friendly, quiet aura,
Cons: A bit hard to find as my NAV maps didn't show the address, but just drive to Eagle Nest and it is the center of town
Simple one night stay close to Angel Fire and 30 minutes down to Taos. Restaurant and saloon on site, cozy rooms and plenty of spaces to kick back with a book or friends and relax. Owned and operated by a US Veteran

The room was one of the largest hotel rooms I have ever seen. The room was very clean. The beds and bedding were top notch. The hotel appears older but the rooms are kept well. No A/C but the porch with windows allows cool air in the evenings. This is a great place for groups to stay with the large covered porch. They could use an ice maker on the property but there was a refrigerator in the room that I was not expecting. The owners are very nice. Overall it was a very nice stay.
