“Made the Wedding Weekend More Enjoyable”
This historic hotel itself is very interesting. We really enjoyed sitting on the veranda visiting with our relatives who also stayed at this hotel. We appreciated the friendly & helpful staff who were very accomodating.
“very satisfied, charming”
Very nice hotel, full of charm in a lovely village. Good service. Breakfast could be with alarger variety of products though.
“Gorgeous Arts and Crafts hotel at a competitive rate”
Was looking for a hotel in Buffalo and happened upon The Roycroft Inn - about 20 minutes outside Buffalo. My husband is a book collector and when I saw the name Roycroft I realized the inn was connected to the Roycroft artisans and book publishers from the early 1900s. Elbart Hubbard founded the Roycroft artisans community in East Aurora, the location of the Inn, which was built in 1905 and housed many of the artisans. The rooms are like going back in time - all Arts and Crafts furniture, very comfortable and clean. Had a fantastic dinner on the "peristyle" a wraparound porch on the Inn, great breakfast too. This is the perfect alternative to staying in a chain hotel and the room rates are very competitive. For the business traveler, there's wi fi, easy check in and check out, great service, not the usual hotel food - comfortable lobby areas, a museum, antique store and artisans shop right across the street, charming downtown with more restaurants - it's the perfect place to stay for a night or a week. Can't say enough!
“A Real Jewel”
This is a "real jewel" in a small, western New York town that looks like a movie set for "a small town." In this case, the Inn is a museum as well, reflecting the arts and crafts movement that began here at the turn of the century and influenced the design of Frank Lloyd Wright's furniture. Since it is "off the beaten path," - although within easy driving distance of the New York Thruway - it is unknown to most travellers but has a corps of devoted guests as well as townspeople. Don't miss it! Spend a week-end there.
“Unique Hotel Experience”
This hotel is a work of art, beautifully run and maintained. It is decorated in "arts and crafts" style (each room has at least one authentic artifact), and the whole ground floor, built around a garden, is stunning. The service was friendly and efficient, the food excellent. The hotel is part of an historic complex, including shops and galleries, in the process of being restored. The town of East Aurora is traditional America at its best and most charming. Wonderful!
“Very Quiet, Relaxing Place to Stay”
Beautiful old Inn refurbished in the 1990s, mission style decor with hardwood floors and Stickley furnishings. The hotel is on a side street and very quiet. The room and service were well above average. I would stay here again.
“Roycroft Inn”
We loved it the character and charm of the Inn . Dinner was out of this world at the Inn. The suite was spacious only thing the bed could have been a little softer for my taste.
“Valentine Night at The Roycroft Inn”
Fantastic Mission Oak decor. Quality of staff, accommodations and food were excellent. Must make it back for Jazz weekend series. Handicap accessible in all areas with ramps and elevators.
“1905 Arts and Crafts life”
The Roycroft Inn is a delightful experience in turn of the Century (20th) living in the Arts and Crafts world. The restoration of the Inn and campus are fine examples of the artisans of the time. The accommodations, food, and service are all one could ask for.
“The whole Roycroft campus exceeded my expectations”
Even more authentic and rustic than I'd expected- it was beautiful. Brunch was phenomenal. And they definitely lived up to their Innkeeper's Greeting! The whole Roycroft campus exceeded my expectations.
