Excellent hotel in the centre of Gent.

Posted Jan 10, 2014
Pros: The character and situation to the centre of Gent
Cons: The sofa bed should be changed to a proper bed, or at least a spring loaded sofa bed off the ground.
Location: Gent is absolutely beautiful, the Christmas markets were on and it gave the place a magical feel to it in the evenings. Would definately come again.
The room suite on the top floor was excellent and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good too. The only problem we had, was that we were there with our teenage kids and they got the good single beds that make a double and we were on a sofa bed on the floor, which wasn't very comfortable. There was enough room to put a double bed in there, and that would be our recommendation. I know it was only for one night, but you are in bed for about 8 hours and the bed is the most important feature in a hotel.

Perfect location

This hotel was a bit cheap and cheerful but perfect location, really helpful staff and clean rooms! It could do with some modernisation but if your looking for somewhere cheap right in the centre of Ghent it's perfect!

Nice Hotel and location

We enjoyed staying at the Cour St. Georges Best Western. It is in a good location for walking around Ghent. Half of the rooms have access to an elevator and the others are in an old section that only has a stair case. The breakfast was good and the staff were very accommodating and friendly.

Love the central location of the hotel. It's right in the middle of the historic city. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Parking area is small, right accross the street from hotel and its secure. Try to get there early if you are not driving a mini.

Good location

The location of the hotel is very good. We had a room for three people. The room was clean and nice. The big bed was quite comfortable but the additional portable bed was very uncomfortable.
