“Great Hotel.Great location.”

The hotel is fronted by typically Flemish houses just by the canal but behind this it is thoroughly modern with a wonderful glass atrium.The room was a typical executive room. Quite large,modern ,comfortable. We did not have an inclusive breakfast but ordered one room service breakfast( for two). Coffee was hot. There were enough bread/pastries for two plus cold meats. Service efficient. Concierge very helpful. Hotel location brilliant to walk out from and visit the main sights. Have no hesitation in recommending the Marriott and would go there again.

“Lovely hotel in great location”

We loved the hotel - quite unusual and the location was perfect for exploring the historical centre of Ghent. It was an easy tram ride from the station - we followed the hotel's directions from their website. Staff very helpful and good-natured and the hotel was spotlessly clean. We had a lovely room and it was only the standard one.

“Fantastic hotel in Gent”

The Marriot Hotel is the perfect location to stay in Gent. We had a double de-luxe room which was fantastic in every detail, one of the most comfortable beds and really quiet. It is located on the side of the river which is perfect to walk to all the local tourist attractions. Gent is a great place for a short break and the Marriot is the best Hotel

“A good quality hotel in a great position”

A very central hotel, you step out of the hotel onto the picturesque canal side in the middle of the old part of the city. The area is very busy and lively at night but the hotel is quiet with a modern, comfortable interior behind the canal side facade.

Lovely hotel situated in an excellent location in the centre of Ghent. Receptionist was friendly and efficient as were all of the staff that we came into contact with. The room was of a good size and the bed very comfortable. Our trip was a birthday treat for my partner, Ghent is a lovely city and the high quality of the hotel just added to a special long weekend.

“Very Central Location”

The hotel was easy to find and very centrally located. (parking available although a little expensive) All major attractions were within a ten minute walk also plenty places to eat close by. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and the hotel was spotlessly clean. The only negative was a very strong perfumed smell throughout the hotel.
