Central for the old townPosted Dec 10, 2013
Pros: Modern and reasonably priced for a quiet location just on the edge of the old town. Easy to drive to and reasonable secure paid parking close by.
Cons: The breakfast at 20 Euros per head is ludicrous when there are a dozen places doing better close by.
Location: Less than one minutes walk from the vridag market square (whose underground car park we used at 10E per day) and the old town centre thereafter
A fairly simple but adequate enough modern hotel. No large public spaces and generally simply furnished but we (two couples) felt were fine for the price. We had a couple of minor niggles in our room that they just couldn't get fixed whilst we were there. A lampshade missing in room 212 bathroom gives a very bright reflection into your eyes when looking in the mirror and the TV controller was very temperamental about turning the TV on, but then worked fine when it was on. Staff were friendly when approached and to be fair they spontaneously gave us a small discount because of the minor niggles but I and I guess subsequent guests might prefer that they actually fixed them.

Loved it! Would stay again.Posted Nov 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel was the best hotel that we stayed at during our trip to the Netherlands and Belgium. It was by far the biggest room we had in the price range we were willing to spend and the first hotel that seemed to know what towels should be like! It was clean and came with plenty of drawers and space to unpack into if you choose. They had internet and great accommodations. Very happy with our stay. Be warned, breakfast there will cost you 20 euros, though.

Grat location, comfortable, value for moneyPosted Nov 23, 2013
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, very queit room. Varied and very nice buffet breakfast, especially the scrambled eggs. Great location. Canal outlook.
Cons: The flooring in the room was rather worn and could be updated. The room was very dark because there was no ceiling light, like other Belgian hotels.
Location: Just off the northeast corner of Vrijdag Markt historic square so a great base to do a circular walk of the old city.
Easy to get to, reached by the number 1 tram from the station and 400 yards from the Castle of the Counts and northeast corner of the old market square (further along from the chemist). Unlike my other Belgian hotels breakfast was included in my rate and also free internet access. Another bonus was that the room temperature and air quality was effectively controlled by the airconditioner/heating. You take this for granted unless it doesn't work.

easy walk to many attractionsPosted Nov 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a nice hotel with friendly helpful staff. It is very close to Graventsteen castle and within easy walking distance of the old sections of Ghent. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The only reason maintenance gets a mark down is that the shower drain in my room was very slow (my feet took a bath) and I mentioned it but it was not addressed.

Great location in a great city.. only downside and very minor is that WI FI in rooms very limited and sporadic, unfortunately the world we live in today its part of everyday life and we are dependent on it. Apart from that staff very nice and helpful. What more can you ask for..

It was OKPosted Oct 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
It was OK - breakfast was good and the location of the hotel was good. However the room was very warm and the air conditioning was not working. We had to leave the windows open and the noise from the street outside was very bad on both nights - fighting, shouting and car noise. We had 2 nights with very disturbed sleep and this ruined our holiday.
