Nice hotel in convenient location

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: Convenient location near to the river and the many nice waterfront bars and restaurants. Underground car park nearby. Good value for money.
Cons: Open-plan room between bedroom and bathroom / toilet (dividing wall ends below ceiling) not to everyone's liking, perhaps this could be sealed off.
Location: Only about 10 minutes walk to the city centre with its lovely Cathedrals, museums and restaurants.
My wife and I stayed here for 3 days in early October. We were in the newly built annexe just up the street and over the road. The rooms although fairly basic were comfortable and air-conditioned. There was a conference room on the ground floor and I think the hotel was frequented by business people, some of which made noise banging doors leaving the building early in the morning.

Good location... But not best impression !

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: The location was great, the room was clean.
Cons: They could use some better customer service skills.
Location: Main attractions are in walking distance of the hotel.
Check-in at this hotel is only at 3 pm. Unlike other hotels that tag your luggage and place them in a safe room while you wait to check-in, they direct you to a tiny dark closet filled with some hotels supplies... No lock, not secure. The access to our room was only from the back courtyard and no lift. Not pleasant in the rain. There was an electricity problem with the first room we were given. I had to call twice and wait over 15 minutes to get someone to come to investigate the problem. We were then finally offered another room since they could not fix the problem. The hotel clerk helped us to transfer our suitcases to the new room which we appreciated. It was not a double room like we had booked, but by that point we were too exhausted to wait to switch rooms again. The room was dark and not properly serviced. A light bulb burned out and ""kleenex" box with only 2 tissues in it. The duvet cover had a big rip in it. When we brought all of these issues to the front desk at check out, no apologies were made, the lady at the desk did not seem to care... Not the best hotel, but not the worse either!

Got in late and had no help

Posted Oct 12, 2014
Had to stay across the street, which is fine...but give some directions. We travelled for seven hours previous and a little direction would have helped. Place was loud, absolutely no privacy with no toilet door or bathroom door for that matter. Lighting is terrible, suite is fine for one, but it's not good. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone aside from a single traveller for a night. I don't normally say bad things but this place is not good, but Ghent is great

Personeel was zeer vriendelijk.

Mooi gebouw met matige staat van onderhoud

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Mooie bedden. Goed breed matras
Location: Prima locatie.
Lekkageplekken.
