Spent 4 nights in Ghent in May 2014 for a fiftieth birthday celebration.Travelled via Eurostar and train to the beautiful city of Ghent. If you want to be emerged in european history but still like to eat and drink well Ghent could be for you.Found that there is little or no English translation even on menu's. As in most european countries found that nearly everyone was able to translate the Flemish, Dutch or german in english for us. A great relaxing city break.Numerous places to eat make your way to the tourist information and pick up Restro Ghent leaflet which will give you a place to start.Would recommend T" Vosken by the cathedral for good quality and reasonable priced food ( the beef stew and fish stew where exceptional ). If you want a steak the place to go is Du Prgress by St.Nicholas church the two person T Bone was immense, better like your stark rare though.

I picked the B&B for its location - near to my destination for a business meeting. It turned out to be a very pleasant experience. It is a high quality conversion with 4 rooms, a meeting room, dining room and lovely garden. The standard of the rooms is excellent - with fast Wi Fi. The hospitality is personal and very warm. The breakfast is to die for. The local village is attractive with nice restaurants and cafes. It would be good to go back for leisure and with more time to enjoy its benefits.

We found a lot to like about this bed and breakfast that in some ways is more like a boutique hotel. The rooms are private and quiet and have upscale design features. The included breakfast was ample and delicious. Free parking is a few steps away from the entrance.
Wi-fi signal was a little weak in our third floor room. We used the ample common area / breakfast room.

This is a great hotel, conveniently located a few minutes from the motorway. I was greeted by Jurgen who knew exactly who I was and had everything ready for me, even gave me good advice on a nice beer to have.
The hotel is very clean and well maintained.
Breakfast in the morning was quick and easy no having to wait for tables and a good choice.
I can't recommend it enough, far better than staying in one of the larger chains whe you are just a number. Here you feel like a guest.

"Charming bed and breakfast hotel in quiet location"
We had a wonderful experience at this B&B. Hans and his wife were the most welcoming and wonderful hosts. It was like staying at friends' warm, friendly and hospitable place. We really enjoyed the breakfast which was varied and delicious. Nicely designed dining and bar area with wooden floors, beautiful decorations, right in the middle of beautiful countryside, yet only half an hour drive from Bruges and short drive from Ghent. We were lucky that our stay coincided with an arts biennale of modern Belgium art at Chateau de Pocques 2 minute drive from the B&'B and were given an opportunity to view amazing art and explore the Chateau, thanks to our wonderful hosts who recommended the event. We couldn't have had a better stay and soak the beautiful scenery of Belgium and it's people. This B&B is probably the best we have stayed in, for a long time. We look forward to staying there again.

This was our first visit to Ghent. Located about 150 M from a tram stop in a quiet and well-kept neighborhood, the hotel Orion met our needs perfectly. Our host Gerald is very proud of his city and provided good information about its attractions. He also intervened on our behalf, trying to help us with missing luggage. Although we had booked only one night, we were able to reserve three more nights at the end of our trip to see more of Ghent. On Gerald's advice we saw enough of the city to put it on our short list of "must visit again" places.
