So centralPosted Nov 30, 2013
Pros: Location was brilliant
Cons: Would have liked the pool to be indoor so useable in the winter
Location: This hotel is so central you can visit everything easily. Canal trips, the fort, the churches, the museums, and the weekend markets
This hotel was great. It was right in the middle of the city, with tram and bus stops accross the road. We were only 5-10 minutes walk from all we wanted to see including sights and shopping. The hotel was spacious, very clean, and had a sauna and steam room to relax at the end of the day! the staff were friendly and accomodating. If you choose to stay here get the number 1 tram from the station to right across the road- it's a half an hour walk and is up hill!

City centre hotelPosted Nov 1, 2013
Pros: Does as it says on the tin ....it is central, has secure parking and is comfortable
Cons: If three in a room include cups for all not just the adults as the child could be 16
Location: In the side street off the square so easy walk along the canal or to the shops and bars or restaurants
Overnight stay in Ghent. Ideal location on the square close to shops and restaurants and the canal. Browsed the streets and had excellent food in local restaurant serving all you can eat delicious ribs. Very pretty place which deserves a longer visit to properly appreciate all it has to offer

Convenient, centrally located good hotelPosted Oct 31, 2013
Pros: Great value stay for a family break.
Cons: I noticed other hotels lent guests umbrellas, this would be a nice touch, especially when I left mine behind.
Location: Fantastic hotel located centrally in the historic district of Gent within walking distance of all the major sites including the castle and the canal.
The family room was all set up ready for our stay. The room was comfortable and clean. I asked for and was given a quiet, top floor room, which had a good view over the nearby church and square. There was a problem with one of the lifts, which would only go to the second floor of four and it was difficult to call the other if that one was available. Breakfast was included in our deal and had a good selection of both cold and hot food.

Smart hotel, great location, nasty surprisesPosted Oct 30, 2013
Pros: Location, cleanliness, comfort
Can't fault the location of this hotel - bang in the centre of the old quarter. It's clean, smart and the room rate was excellent - until they charged us an extra 20 euros a night additional supplement plus city tax on top. Not sure if it was the hotel's fault or Expedia's but it was a nasty shock nevertheless. We didn't eat breakfast as it was stupidly over-priced so can't comment on that.

Nice hotel, close to everything.Posted Oct 16, 2013
This hotel was close to all the sights in Ghent. We appreciated the tips from the hotel staff on what to do during our stay. There are lots of things to do in Ghent it was just a shame the weather was bad and we didn't get to explore as much as liked.

Appalling restaurant, rude staffPosted Oct 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel as such is not that bad - although there is noise from the alleyway behind the rooms from drunks late at night. The main problem is the awful food in the restaurant. You cannot serve rotten potatoes and stale bread in such an establishment. I observed staff who ignored guests who tried to greet them. My complaint about the restaurant was dismissed. There were also issues about the sauna, with one staff member saying I could bring an outside guest and another one saying I couldn't. I will certainly not go back there.

Very nice hotel and friendly staff. Bit disappointed with cardboard cups for tea in the room though.
