Feels Like Home
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Bjarg. The best way to describe our room is homey. We were greeted at the door by the owner (I wish I knew his name) He told us stories about the area, suggested sites to see, told us about when he worked on a fishing vessel... We thoroughly enjoyed listing to his stories. The room, though not very big, was clean, and everything was in good working order. It felt like we were staying with friends at their house. We had a room with an attached bathroom. Very clean. There were books to read, a refrigerator, and a wonderful view out the windows above the bed. I will stay there again if we are back in the area!

Comfortable luxury at an affordable price
We stayed in the suite and were not disappointed. The bed, linens, and towels were the nicest out of all the hotels we stayed at on our travel around the ring road. The room has a wall full of windows that overlooks the water and you can hear the brook while you lay in bed. The room was large with a seating area. The town is cute, but tiny. We enjoyed the owner and his helpful tips about where to eat and what sites to see in Iceland.

Nice view over the fjord
The hotel suite has a funny deco mix, is large and with a vertical nice view on the fjord. Some equipments would benefit from a refreshment soon.

Sleepy village
Very old hotel in a sleepy village. Hotel dining room not open as stated. Only 1 cafe and a petrol station which served food. Just a sleepy village not geared for tourists. A shame as surrounding countryside magnificent!

Excellent service. Very kindly staff.
Excellent service and very kindly staff. I had to change my original reservation to accomodate an additional person and the staff very promptly helped and made the ajustments for me. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Mr Karvel was very kind and provided us with recommendations for diner and even gave us some tips to see the Northern Lights (unfortunately we were not able to see them).

A disaster!
We arrived at the hotel around 9:30pm due to rainy weather and driving around the fjords. When we checked in our room with twin beds was given away and the host billed our credit card because he thought we weren't going to show. The room was outdated 70s style. When I took a shower there was a gap between the wall and shower and it flooded the floor. Had to retrieve extra towels to mop up the floor. I would never recommend the hotel. What a waste of money.

Sorry you were not pleased with your stay with us and we will work harder to improve all things that we can do. I do run CC# provided at bookings on the internet after 8pm to see if the card is legit or booking is correct. Please note that you ordered my Sweet that has only one bed in the room but we could have arranged a Roll-Away if you had asked? We do have a shower curtain in the bathroom and curtains can leak if they get outside of the water basin(bottom) during showers but I was glad we were able to provide you with plenty of towels. Very nice stay
Very nice hotel with a very friendly host named Karvel. Clean room with a very nice view of the fjord and area. We would look Karvel up again if we go back to Iceland.

Nice little hotel
Family room is large 2 room apartment, much better then Expedia described. Perfectly cleaned and maintained. New bathroom. Perfect for the family of 4. There is plenty of space for 6 if needed

Poor service with extremely small rooms
No one at reception upon arrival. Rung bell provided 2 times before phoning the phone number on the front door. Staff was dressed professionally at all. The 2 beds only had 6 inches between them. Way to narrow for 2 beds. Should have been a 1 bedroom unit.

Highly Recommended
My husband and I stayed here for two nights during our ring road trip. Owner is very friendly and the hotel is very clean. Just know that everything in this town closes at 9pm, except the gas station.

Nice hotel.
We stayed two nights at the hotel. Our room had a great view of the fjord. It was spacious with two beds which were very comfortable resulting in a good sleep. Two bathrooms on our floor one with a shower. Bathrooms were very clean. Breakfast cost extra but was good with many choices. We would recommend this hotel. If you have trouble using stairs as no elevator ensure you call the hotel as they have a room on the main floor.

A warm, economical & personable experience
Really enjoyed staying at this cozy hotel. The owner went out of his way to make sure we had a nice stay & enjoyed ourselves. We told him what we were interested in and he recommended a drive our tour book didn't give much praise to and we had the most wonderful time and saw some beautiful sights-our most favorite day in Iceland!

Hospitality at its finest.
The owner went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. We got in really late and without asking made us all sandwiches. He was so kind and open to questions. The room was huge and had a kitchen table. The room was awesome. Highly recommend.

Located on a fjord, with excellent views.
We were doing the Ring Road and this was our 4th stop. The hotel is conveniently located and we had a great view from the room - water and mountain in front. The owner Karvel is very friendly and tried to make our stay very comfortable. Breakfast was included, he knew we are vegetarians, so in the breakfast buffet, he had a plate of veggies for us. He gave us a lot of information, very helpful and saw us off to our car.

The staff was excellent and helpful as we arrived very, very late. The room was spacious with a beautiful view, however it did not have a shower and was quite far away from key visitor points. The owner was very helpful and provided a different shower facility.

My room was tiny and had a post right in the middle of it. Only stayed one night on the way to get to get a Kuku camper van.

Sorry about the night stand between beds and I think that is what you mean with a pole? I agree the bedrooms are not the largest but I have a huge lounge to relax in and enjoy the oceanfront view of Fjord. Best regards, Karvel

The room was very small, but it was clean, which you cannot say about a lot of accommodation in Iceland. Good breakfast and hosts were very friendly and gave great advice.

Sehr Gastfreundliches Hotel
Hervorragender Service und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Der Besitzer gab uns gleich bei der Ankunft Tipps für Lokale und Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung, die wir sonst verpasst hätten. Tolles reichhaltiges Frühstück mit viel Auswahl. Obwohl das Ambiente schon etwas älter ist, war es sehr gepflegt und sauber. Danke für das interessante Gespräch beim Frühstück. Wir würden beim nächsten Islandurlaub dieses Hotel wieder buchen.

Hâvre de paix
Belle découverte que cet hôtel un peu hors des sentiers battus. Chambre spacieuse et décorée avec goût avec une vue superbe sur le fjord, accueil très chaleureux. Petit déjeuner bon et copieux. Excellent rapport qualité prix pour l'Islande. Je recommande tout particulièrement.

Unterkunft in sehr guter Lage
Frühstück liebevoll und reichlich, Hoteleigentümer nett und zuvorkommend, jedoch Betten (alte, durchgesessene Matratzen) taugen nicht zum Schlafen und die Einrichtung ist total abgewohnt, es gibt keine Abstellmöglichkeiten für Gepäck im Zimmer

I don't recommend this hotel
The boss is quite arrogant.The room is very small and unconfortable. I will not book this hotel anymore, nor will I recommend to my friends.

Camera per famiglia, enorme e molto pulita, L'unico problema è la doccia, bisogna uscire di tre metri dalla stanza e rientrare in albergo e scendere due piani, Il prezzo mi sembra esagerato,

Staying here was one of the highlights of our time in Iceland. It is clean & so comfortable(big bed♡). Our host was very helpful & generous & the most sweetest in the world. if you are planning to go there, Hotel bjarg would be your best choice. thx for great breakfast w/ great fjord view. I love your bird dolls, and big ballpen :)

Proprio très sympathique
L'hôtel Bjarg est un petit hôtel de 8 chambres sur le bord du fjord Faskrudfjordur, ancien port de pêche des marins français. L'hôtel a besoin de rénovations: la réception est sombre et pratiquement dans le salon du proprio et de ses fils, vieux tapis rouge foncé. Les chambres offrent une assez belle vue sur le fjord et les montagnes. Les chambres sont minuscules, tout de même rénovées dans un style sans charme toutefois. Lits très confortables, salle de bain rénovée. La salle du petit déjeuner est grande et très éclairée par ses larges fenêtres. Petit déjeuner buffet, bien garni. Le proprio est sympathique et offre un accueil personnalisé.

Great hotel!
The hotel really exceed my expectations. Nice and confy rooms, great view and a great breakfast. But what really set it apart was it's owner, incredibly helpful and chatty. Gave lots of good advice on what to visit. Will definitely be back if I'm in the area.

Litt gammeldags hotell fra 70 tallet som mangler heis. Hotellet trenger muligens en opprusting. Rommene er lyse og fine. Frokosten er OK! Internett er inkludert.

Great guesthouse, where the very frendly owner will give you all the information you need about the country and about the region. Great breakfast. Superb view from the living-room / breakfast-room.

Hôtel idéal pour un arrêt magique dans les Fjords
Great place! The owner of the hôtel was really nice, he gave us many  advices for the rest of our trip and he was really available!!!! From our room the view on the lake was amazing!!!!! Perfect "american" bed also. Breakfast included very complete and delicious. Really Nice place to stay!! I'll highly recommend it!! Thanks for everything! Unique trip, this hôtel is a Perfect place to enjoy and admire one of the most beautiful fjord in Island. Special mention for the kindness of the owner!
