The place was perfect for a one night stay, as we traveled through Iceland, particularly since we landed at Egilstradr Airport and were able to walk to the hotel.

This is a good hotel but not until you start up use the bathroom. We are not sure what was wrong but the the drains in the bathroom were spewimg out extremely bad dirty smell. This would increase exponentially the moment we started using the shower. And our friend who were traveling with us also experienced the same problem in their room. Our overall rating of 2 purely based on this, although the hotel and the rooms in general were neat and good.

An excellent buffet breakfast. Very nice facilities. Not a hotel fault but Eggilstadir could have some more dining options. But otherwise was a very pleasant stay.

Las habitaciones son como un hotel de 4 estrellas en España, pero costarían 90€, no 400€. En mi caso no pagué el alojamiento porque me reubicaron por un problema en la otra reserva y pagué solo 99€, la diferencia la asumió Expedia. El desayuno me lo dieron por las molestias y yo no hubiera pagado lo que piden por él, pero tenía bastante variedad. La habitación limpia y grande, tetera, cafè y té. También tenían jabones y cremas con muy buen olor. Hay parking con el acceso directo en ascensor. En resumen, yo no pagaría lo que piden, pero acabé allí por casualidad.

For over 300 euros a night, we expected a larger room when booking a “family room” with a double and twin bed. It was smaller than a NYC hotel room, and those are very very small. There was very little room to spread out. Hot water had a sulfur smell. Pillows were flat and my neck hurt in the morning. Breakfast was an overpriced add on which we skipped. Skip this place and pick something else.

Parking was easy and so do the check in process as well. Stayed for one night so not much interaction with staff- so no comment there. Shower curtain could be cleaner. Overall stay was good 👍

The whole experience was first rate, the staff was there to accommodate every need or wish even the local taxi driver worked hand in hand with the hotel and its staff. I would definitely return to this property.

Clean, comfortable standard hotel. Breakfast very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. The manager could have made an effort with guests to engage. However she was very visible which was positive. Dinner menu limited however food was very tasty.

The room was comfortable. Good for an overnight stay. Free WiFi was limited to a certain amount. The town was small but we visited a cute American-style diner, Skálinn Diner, for some good comfort food.

The hotel was good but the soundproofing between floors isn’t very good - I suggest asking for a room on the top floor if you can. The breakfast was very good!

Great little spot. It’s not well marked but once you go inside it’s nice. It had all the basics we needed and the restaurant was lovely. We enjoyed a nice meal after a day of travel . We would stay again. It was clean, simple , and what we needed for one night.

This hotel was our least favorite on our Iceland trip. It was under construction and therefore noisy and overall not up to par with other hotels around the country. The breakfast had a great variety and nice. The staff at breakfast was prompt, professional and very friendly. The staff rep at front desk was OK but very robotic with little personality. There was staff either being trained or walking around speaking Spanish loudly in the halls quite a bit. Free parking onsite.
