Our weekend at the Lansdowne hotelPosted Oct 28, 2013
Pros: It overlooked the sea and was close to the congress theatre
Cons: It looks a little tired in places
Location: It is within walking distance of the arndale centre
We enjoyed a very relaxing weekend at the Lansdowne . The hotel looks a little tired in places but on the whole we relaxed and enjoyed the peace of our room

Good valuePosted Aug 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
A good location, clean, friendly staff. Great value breakfast, included only £5.00 per person. The voucher for parking on the front was also useful.

Very cleanPosted Aug 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
Lovely location along the sea front but little parking (tho you can arrange a lock up garage for a nominal fee.) We managed to park in a side road. The lift gave up the ghost while we were there, but thankfully our room on the third floor was accessible to us. We were upgrade to a huge family room with 2 bathrooms so plenty of space, tho facing inland we got the noise of the bins being put away early in the morning. London prices for drinks from the bar but staff very helpful and a number of rooms you could retire to to watch the world go by.

Lovely relaxing breakPosted Aug 5, 2013
Pros: Relaxed atmosphere, great views
Cons: No complaints
Location: Great location on the sea front
We booked this on a last minute deal for a reduced rate and were supposed to be in "land view" double room. However when we arrived we were told we had been upgraded - so we had a suite with a stunning sea view! The staff were excellent, helpful and polite. We didnt dine in the hotel but the restaurant looked lovely. We had drinks from the bar which were reasonably priced and there were several comfy lounges to relax in. Location is great too. Although some parts of the hotel could do with a bit of freshening up, overall we loved it and would definitely visit again.

Brilliant sea view roomPosted Aug 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very good stay. Hotel a little dated in places, but I wasn't paying a massive room rate so didn't expect top spec. Brilliant sea view room, breakfast and staff both excellent. Eastbourne highly recommended - beach quite stony not sandy.

Great location for Eastbourne Tennis TournamentPosted Jun 27, 2013
Cons: No food after 9pm
Location: Right on the seafront & walking distance to Eastbourne Tennis Tournament
Great location - right on the seafront & close to the tennis tournament which we had arrived to see. The real disappointment was that the hotel stopped serving food after 9pm - we did not arrive until 8.30pm and did not want to venture outside so had to be content with a cold sandwich.

Very comfortable single night stay - excellent room, comfy beds, excellent breakfast. Hotel has character, but parts of hotel dated and could do with a refit, however room and restaurant look recently refurbished. All in all - recommended. We would stay again.
