Lovely boutique hotel/guest house.Posted Dec 14, 2014
Pros: The staff are great. The rooms are lovely and well appointed, very clean also. It's in a great area.
Location: St. James' Street is one of the best areas in Brighton for character. There are loads of pubs, restaurants & live music.
I visited Blanch House many times when I lived in Brighton, but mostly for the cocktails they were famous for. I'd always wanted to stay there so when I knew I needed a room for the weekend so I could attend a friend's wedding, this was perfect. The staff were polite and friendly and very accommodating. I didn't sample the afternoon tea they offered but I did have the breakfast and it was enormous and really great quality. The area is a perfect one for tourists to stay in as there is a lot to do and it's full of character. The room was very comfortable and the bed was great. The bathroom was newly decorated to a very high standard and was meticulously clean - something I appreciate a LOT. I will definitely be staying here again when I visit Brighton, especially as it cost less than I was expecting for such a pretty room.

Really pleasant hotel, good location.Posted Nov 8, 2014
Pros: Location, staff, condition of decor, food.
Cons: Difficult to find any aspect that could be better
Location: Close to centre of Brighton and the Beach.
Turned up having cycled the Downs Link and greeted by a warm and helpful welcome. The hotel is very well maintained with real attention to detail and great service. The room was thematically decorated and spotless. The staff were attentive and the breakfast was brilliant. Great value.

Exceptional Service, very comfortable stayPosted Oct 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
A hotel owner that genuinely cares - exceptional service, nothing is too much trouble. Hotel is spotlessly clean, the bedrooms are beautifully designed and the beds very comfortable. Great vegetarian breakfast. Parking is a little difficult - but worth persisting. For £9.50 in a resident permit zone (obtained from the hotel on arrival) for 24hrs it's half the price of city centre car parks and the bigger hotel chains. Spaces can get limited, so arrive early/mid-afternoon if possible. We'll definitely go back.

Blanch House HotPosted Sep 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
Agonizingly hot, but probably unusually warm weather. Would not stay there in summertime. Internet was sketchy, but the owner upgraded our room for a small additional charge and we were able to log on. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great hotel near the beach and all the actionPosted Sep 21, 2014
My wife and I stayed here and it was excellent. Great staff and location and the included breakfast was top notch - much better than you would get at most places. Our room was great but if space is a priority for you, make sure you inquire about the various room options as ours was relatively small but saw some that are quite large.
