“Good value, great location!”

The location of this hotel is great, especially as it is one of the few hotels offering a car park. The beach, pier, green areas, restaurants & shops are all within easy walking distance. Rooms and public areas of the hotel are very comfortable, clean & well maintained. Breakfast in the dining room offered a good variety - my only criticism is that the restaurant did not offer more than one vegetarian choice in the evening and therefore we never used it for dinner. We did dine in the bar once, which was fine, and offered a good choice of dishes. I enjoyed a massage at the spa and can also recommend this. Finally, the hotel staff members were unfailingly pleasant & helpful, making our stay very enjoyable.

We had two rooms. They were both very nice and beautifully appointed. The service was superb and the English breakfast was nice and not rushed. There was some renovations going on in the hotel and the view from our room was obscured (thus the 4 rating instead of 5) but that could not be helped. Overall very satisfied.

We stay at the Cavendish several times a year and always look forward to coming back.It is a great hotel with good rooms,food, friendly and helpful staff and the location is great.

“Great location, great service, great hotel”

Although we arrived an hour early we were able to park in the carpark and check in. Hotel was very clean and the Reception staff were extremely helpful. We hadnt paid any extra to upgrade to a seaview but were pleasantly surprised to find one of our windows overlooked the sea. Our room (226) was huge and queen size bed that was extremely comfortable. Bathroom was gorgeous - fully tiled and large power shower. complimentary toilietries spelt amazing. We had some drinks in the bar in the eveing which overlooked the sea front, great location although the service in the bar was quite slow and we would often have to wait for a couple of the drinks to be bought over.....and then have to remind the staff to bring them! Location of ht hotel was perfect - a few steps to the beach and pier and a minute walk to the town centre. Car park for hours which was great value. We will definatley be returning!

“An excellent hotel well worth the visit”

The Cavendish is ideally located in Eastbourne with great sea views and its own car parking. The hotel is superbly maintained, very spacious, very clean and the staff (virtually all from overseas)very courteous and helpful. All the local amenities, restaurants, and town centre are within easy walking distance. The slight down-side was the hotel restaurant. The staff were very attentive and helpful but the evening meal was no better than OK and the breakfasts varying in quality. We stayed three nights and had superb breakfasts on two mornings but the Sunday was a major let-down. There appeared to be less staff on show and some problems in the kitchen with food containers when empty only very slowly replenished and in some cases the food provided was cold. However, the few negatives were clearly out-weighed by the many positives.

Hotel beautiful, refurb looks great so far. Staff were very friendly, service outstanding. Location is perfect, can walk to everything. Very impressed. Would well recommend.

“Would definitely choose the Cavendish again”

We arrived slightly early but were allowed to check into the hotel straight away. We had a huge room at the back of the hotel (as we had not gone for the sea view), was very comfortable, however as it was right next to the heating system we felt it might be a little noisy. We contacted reception and were immediately shown 3 other rooms in different parts of the hotel. The room we went for had a fantastic view of the sea and the pier so we were very happy. The staff were all fantastic and were extremely friendly and professional. The complimentary breakfast was great and the hotel was very comfortable, if not a little too warm at time. The hotel was located right on the front and was an easy walk to the town centre. I was going to a conference at the Devonshire Park Complex which was a 3 minute walk away. The whole area is very pleasant and feels very safe even late at night. Would highly reccommend this hotel.

Completely remodernised. Great spa and gym. Clean room. Excellent service and incredible breakfasts. Thiis is a must try hotel !!!

“Good well-situated hotel”

After a six-hour drive from the North, it was a pleasure to find a very comfortable and well-appointed hotel waiting for us. We had arranged to meet people for dinner in the hotel, and were not disappointed; a very pleasant occasion. Next day breakfast was served in our room at 5.30 so we could continue our journey to France.

“Must go back”

The Cavendish hotel was almost perfect. The staff were warm and friendly. The food was outstanding with a wide choice and excellent presentation and service. The only minor criticism was that our room was hot and stuffy and would have benefitted from air conditioning which possibly could have been expected from a 4 star hotel. Despite this criticism we would definitely return.
