We booked a double room on 15.02.2018 . When we arrived, 6 months later, on 08.08.2018, we were told that we were now booked into a twin room. The guy who greeted us was very apologetic but this is not the point. We are a couple and wanted a double room so, to be told we had a twin room due to the hotel 'changing hands' in the interim period, was unacceptable and not our problem, but we had no choice but to take it and were told to 'push the two single beds together' !!! Furthermore, we were not offered any form of compensation by way of a discount and were also charged the statutory daily rate for a parking permit.. We find it extremely annoying that we found ourselves in this unfortunate situation. There cannot be many who book six months in advance for a 3-night stay and for this situation to arise due to hotel management incompetence is, I think, totally out of order.
