“Brighton Getaway!”

I decided on Gulliver's as a pretty decent place to stay. Its in a great part of Brighton. Traffic isn't bad and parking is cheap. The guest house itself is quite nice with some original artwork on the walls. Well decorated. The staff were great. Very friendly and happy to oblige. They allowed us an early check-in which was a real bonus. They were always happy and chirpy at breakfast. It's cleaned daily so there's rarely anything that gets missed. It's also in a location which although is close to the town centre, is far enough away from it to be nicely quiet.

“Excellent hotel in Brighton, UK”

Very friendly staff, bright, clean room, nicely presented, perhaps a little small, quiet, excellent breakfast, close to everything, very happy.

“Would definitely stay again and recommend.”

We arrived at 7pm and someone from the sister hotel next door came and checked us in. Our room was set back from the front door, but was directly opposite it, which initially concerned us due to potential noise levels, however upon entering our room, albeit a strange layout, I.e. foyer, then bathroom and toilet and bedroom off of this, these rooms acted as a noise barrier and as such, we heard no one come or go all night. The rooms were extremely clean with complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits, shower gel, shampoo, etc, as well as a bottle of water. Breakfast was lovely with a wide selection on offer. My only suggestion would be for management to attach a small notice to the hotel's doorbell / intercom suggesting that the bell should only be used when there is someone visible in reception to let hem in - I rang the bell and waited or some time before trying the intercom, which was answered immediately.

“Small, quiet and comfortable.”

Very clean and comfortable but, best of all ,quiet. Excellent breakfast. Extremely convenient position within easy reach of everything important. Layout of room a bit quirky with entrance through the bathroom, but all adds to character. Would definitely recommend and will return.

“Would recommend to friends and family”

This was our 2nd stay at Gullivers. The room we had this time was very small compared to last time, presumably because we booked it on a last minute special rate offer. We didnt mind as it was only for one night and we were out until quite late. The room was clean and toiletries and bottled water are supplied in the room, along with the usual tea, coffee and biscuits. The food and service are excellent and cannot be faulted. The location is perfect being within a couple of minutes walk from the Pier and the Lanes. We would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

“Comfortable, clean, 3* hotel”

Nice, friendly hotel; very firendly service. This is really a 3 star hotel rather than 4, but having said that, it was great value for money. Could have done with one or two more staff; the breakfast waitresses were working alone (one each day) and were run off their feet - we felt really sorry for them.

“Good value, good location”

Nice big, comfortable room. I was staying on the top floor and the wi-fi signal was weak (it was fine down in the lobby). I would stay again.

“Good BnB, tiny bathroom!”

Great location literally 2 minute walk from the pier. Room itself was nice, the only thing that let it down was the size of the bathroom. It was almost like an after thought in the room with a shower that you could just about fit in if you stodd still and didnt want to wash too vigorously! It was also quite noisy location, but feel this is more to do with being in the centre of Brighton than anything specific about the BnB. Breakfast was lovely though. Parking was by permit and you had to hope to find a space amongst all of the residents - not the easiest thing to do!
