Superb friendly guesthousePosted Jun 23, 2013
Pros: clean, mordern and cosy. esp the bed!
Location: location is just off the seafront, close to bars and restaurants.
What a fab guesthouse! It was clean, comfy, excellent decor and everything had a brand new but cosy feel. We have a lovely double room, with an ensuite bathromm with a bath which was all spotless. The bed was super comy and the only thing to be able to get us out of the bed was the amazing breakfast! All organci and local meats, with home made bread..couldnt ask for more. Angela and ASndrew were lovely, giving lots of advice about the local area...even where to watch the lions rugby match! The guesthouse is in a fab location just round the corner form the sea front. lots of on street parking, not a problem. all in all a wonderfull first trip to Eastbourne, we will be back!

“Delightful hotel with outstanding breakfast”Posted Jun 22, 2013
Pros: Owners and breakfast
A group of us have just returned from a 1 night stay at Gyves house and it deserves every one of the five stars I have given it. The rooms are very comfortable and decorated nicely. The Breakfast room is really lovely and the food was outstanding. In addition to the above it was abundantly clear that the owner Andy really cares about given his guests a great experience and made us feel very welcome. Plenty of free parking spaces outside as well Don't waste loads of time, like I did , comparing accommodation in Eastbourne - stay here and I can assure you it will be money well spent. Dan

very nice hotelPosted Jun 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
Only one minor issue that kept this hotel from being rated as a 5: shower/water pressure. It took awhile for the water to heat up and when it did, the water simply "fell" out of the shower head, hardly any pressure at all. Other than that, absolutely no issues; I'd stay there again.

Hotel luxury at a B&BPosted Jun 17, 2013
Great B&B. Fantastic boutique style room. Bed very comfy. Brilliant breakfast. Friendly and helpful hosts. Could ask for nothing more. Very minor downside is that parking is a little difficult and guests may have to drive around a bit to find a space.

Owner is extremely helpful and accommodatingPosted Jan 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
Was greeted with a big smile. The owner Andrew was very friendly and helpful in suggesting places to park and things to see and do, even emailed me before the stay just to check if everything is ok. Breakfast was of very decent quality and with great variety, too. The B&B is recently reopened followed by a refurbishment so the rooms are very nice and clean. Only let down was that the walls are a bit thin, as I could hear below snoring and talking in the room below ours, might just be our room though. Overall very pleasant stay, would definitely recommend.
