Good base for short break in Brighton

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: Location very good
Cons: Room a little tired
Location: Shops and seafront very close to walk to.
Used this hotel for short break - good location was easy to walk to all places of interest and right next to train station. Room was ok - nothing special but fine for short break. Breakfast was good and staff pleasant.

Jurys Inn, Brighton

Posted Jun 23, 2014
The Jurys Inn is located very close to the railway station, but with little or no trace of the noise from the trains. The hotel is clean and the staff make you feel welcome, regardless of what time you arrive. The hotel was busy with a large bus group, but the staff made time to deal with customers. The rooms are simple and basic, but at the same time spotlessly clean. Don't expect a lot from the room otherwise other than a comfortable bed, reliable WiFi (albeit not to fast), Free tea and Coffee and television. I was a business travelller, and it enabled me to get a good nights sleep and to easily meet with the client based in central Brighton. The breakfast was OK, and everything was well cooked and prepared. The breakfast was well priced compared to other business hotels.

Good location convenient to rail station

Posted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: location, service, breakfast
Cons: Room temperature
Location: Brighton is a lively cosmopolitan place. Saturday street market in the North Laines great to wander round. Great street food.
Very convenient for rail station in quiet part of Brighton but short walk from bars, restaurants etc. Room was a bit cold in spite of turning up the aircon. Helpful staff. Able to check in early as the room was available. Recommended.

Good value hotel but looking a bit tired

Posted May 29, 2014
Pros: Clean, tidy, quiet, fairly modern, good value for money. Pleasant staff, and very well situated.
Cons: The rooms could be modernised, the bathrooms (as one would expect) are looking a little tired, a little cheap, and a little old fashioned
Location: It's central Brighton. You're 2 minutes walk from the railway station, 5-10 minutes from the beach, and 5 minutes from the Laines and shops!
The Jury's Inn at Brighton is a perfectly fine hotel for a quick trip to Brighton. It's really well situated, being close to the station, and central Brighton. It's relatively modern; it's clean and tidy, the staff are friendly, and the rooms are relatively spacious (though not overly so). For the money, it's absolutely fine. That said, it's a bit on the tired side (at least my room on the top floor was); it's functional but plain; the bathroom isn't fantastic, but it works - though it's a little disappointing to see the soap dispensers etc bolted to the wall. It makes the place feel cheaper than it really is - or deserves. All in all, the rooms could do with a bit of a face-lift but it works as a place to stay for a few days. Likewise I didn't eat in the restaurant, or have breakfast there. It looks a bit tired too, and something about the layout doesn't make it hugely welcoming. But who needs it? You're in Brighton - there's loads of places to eat / go / see etc.

Overpriced, minimal facilities.

Stayed here for two nights for the Brighton marathon. Hotel room did not have a lock box. Very expensive for minimal quality.
