Small room overlooking scaffolding

Posted Apr 22, 2015
Pros: Convenient location
Cons: Breakfast choices. New mattresses. Better soundproofing or segregating partygoers from other guests
Location: On the beachfront - lots to see and do
Clean, basic room. Small double bed that had seen better days. Unfortunately, we had noisy neighbours who banged doors most of the night and were still talking at 6am. Car park was full when we arrived at lunchtime but were able to park in nearby car park for 20 pounds.Breakfast was OK but don't have the scrambled egg - limited to one choice ie cooked breakfast or fruit, not both.

Excellent hotel on Brighton Seafront

Posted Apr 21, 2015
Pros: The staff were extremely helpful and polite and the hotel cleanliness was excellent.
Cons: Unable to think of anything that can be improved.
Location: Just a short walk from Brighton Pier and town, with excellent historical pubs to visit and an abundance of difference restaurants. Lively atmosphere.
We stayed for three nights in April. The hotel staff were extremely welcoming and helpful and we found the room very clean, and a good size for the cheapest double room. The room did look like it had been newly decorated. The facilities were very good and the hotel is in a good location, just a short walk from Brighton Pier. Definitely recommend and will book again next time we are in Brighton.

Close to the beach

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: The environment was pleasant to stay in, rooms were tidy and comfortable.
Cons: More colourful bedsheets, cleaner rooms and hallways, less staff mistakes, more breakfast selection, thicker walls so you can't hear everything.
My boyfriend and I were initially given the wrong room number so had to go down to get our correct details. Once we were inside our room, it was clean, but the windows were dirty. We was very pleased with the bathroom facilities and a comfy bed. We did find the walls were very thin so when people were talking in the room next to us or watching Tv, we could here them, even at 4am. There wasn't a big selection for breakfast but what we did have was nice. Our checkout time was 2 but our room had been deactivated at 10 so we had to sort another issue. However all towels and linen was left in the hallway opposite the lift, mainly chucked on the floor.

Staff were really friendly and helpful! Was given an upgrade on our room even though we had booked 2 single beds and instead got this huge double bed and 2 single beds. The room was over looking the beach which was beautiful! Interior was a little outdated but that didnt bother me at all :) I would definitely come back here. Hotel was close to everything. Id say about a 15min walk from Brighton station.

Only a £50 spend yet still disappointed

Posted Apr 11, 2015
This hotel is close to the beach but everything else is terrible! Badly needs refurbishing, rooms very noisy, hotel BOILING hot, ripped wallpaper, damaged furniture and lift was out of service. Spend a little more and stay somewhere nice.

Posted Apr 8, 2015
Pros: Staff, Room and location
Location: Located at the seaside, 10 min away from Brighton Pier and 2 minutes away from restaurants and bars.
We stayed at the Kings Hotel just after Easter bank holiday. The staff was very helpful and always quick solve any issue. Room was very clean and we were given a newly refurbished room. We will definitely come back.

Good hotel reasonable price

A good little hotel only a minute from the beach and ten minutes from the pier. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Only downside was it got a little stuffy at night even with the radiator turned off.

Location is brill

On the beach, round the corner from the main strip of resturants- 10mins to pier. Staff were ok, but nervous when asked questions but all was well....maybe newbies. Only issue was the car park I got from the description it was first come first serve (free though) but alas at £15/night for a car park on a council estate next door- not really worth it, not secure at all and tight for a larger vehicle (ncp probably similar). Rooms were basic but very clean, decor throughout the hotel is old apart from the reception area, fine if you just need a bed for the nigt though, very comfy and provided extra pillows too!
