Decent

Me and my friend booked a last minute hotel so we could go out clubbing. We are both 19 so when we arrived we wasn't expecting the ritz anyway as was just 35 pound each! We just wanted a cheap room to sleep in and get ready in. The staff was friendly although some not English so struggled to understand us. We got to the room and was a little dated but didn't bother us. The room and bathroom was very clean. The lighting could of been better and the window needs replacing as we could only open it a little bit and it was boiling! But not a major issue. The outside of the building had scaffolding up because of the storm but there was signs explaining this but could of been explained before booking, not that it bothered us but for other guests that may care about that sort of thing. It was right opposite the wheel and pier and just a 10 minute walk to clubs and main town. Taxis just outside the hotel. Overall good hotel and amazing town!! Will go back. Only downside was no parking so had to park 15 minutes away.

Great location and comfortable

Posted Jun 8, 2015
While the hotel is undergoing renovations and still has work to be done, the hotel is still comfortable and clean. The floors are a bit creaky in places however. It is not a modern or flashy hotel but is still a perfectly fine hotel to stay at and is in a great location. It is also one of the more affordable places to stay when considering it is right on the seafront! I've stayed several times with no major issues.

Good location, but in need of a major refurb!

Stayed in Brighton for a stag. Great location. Opposite the pier and near the bars. The hotel is pretty run down and needs a major refurb.

you get very little for the money!

Pros: the location. that's it.
Cons: the whole inside needs to be refurbished, especially the bathrooms.
I would absolutely not recommend this hotel to a friend. It is way overpriced for what you get, the one and only good thing is the location. this is at best a 2 star hotel, and I only give it the extra star for it's very close walking location to the pier and the brighton lanes. Other than that I basically paid 175 pounds for an outdated smelly room, with worn out carpet that probably has not been changed in over a decade and a moldy musky smell coming from the bathroom. It should be half priced at least, the inside of the rooms looks like a cheap motel room. the outside looks great but they obviously don't care about the inside at all! and unfriendly staff as well you obviously don't care to even ask how your stay was. you are better off paying more for a better hotel or just use air b&b.

Great location

Posted May 24, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Renovation of the decor and more comfortable beds. Double glazed windows would help cut out the noise of people leaving pubs and clubs
Hotel is in a great location but needs a refresh. Big patch of bare plaster on the staircase is not a good first impression. Reception staff also unhelpful. Made me feel as though I was an inconvenient interruption.
