Okay room

Posted Nov 25, 2014
The room was nice and clean though the shower could really do with updating. It was an old style unit connected to the taps which did not give a very good water strength plus there was no shower curtain so you had to sit in the bath to prevent water from going everywhere.

Great location

Posted Oct 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is in a good location although parking is difficult, but in fairness it is difficult on the eastern side of Eastbourne as there are so many hotels. Fab building, as built in 1790, although it is more tired than the photos on the site, as we were disappointed that there was a bath with no shower, just a shower attachment, we made do as it was for only 1 night but it would be inconvenient if you stayed longer. The host is very nice and welcoming but the room could do with an update and refurb.

Comfy Beds

Posted Sep 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was very clean but quite dilapidated and in need of updating. The bed was lovely and almost felt you was being hugged. The shower didn't work very well at and the toilet took a bit of a knack to flush. The owners were really nice and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel is advertised with free parking but they don't have a car park, what they mean is there is free street parking if you can find a free space, having said that the paid parking is very cheap.

Nice Hotel excellent position

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: The convenience of the position
Cons: Parking is difficult but managed ok but is like it all around Eastbourne
Location: As said before convenient to walk to town, near to pier where the buses etc meet for tour rides. Historical places to visit Hastings, Beachy Head etc
Good positon of hotel with lovely seaview room we sat with window open looking out to the sea with our cup of tea. It was also excellent position to walk into the town or pier area. Although room was clean and comfortable it did look a little tired. Hospitality excellent.

Wir hatten mehr erwartet

Posted Jul 29, 2014

Mysigt & trevligt

Posted Jul 13, 2014 on Hotels.com

Excellent hotel, great location and nice breakfast

Posted Apr 27, 2014
My stay at the Sea Beach House Hotel was very pleasant. The staff are lovely helpful and the room is very nice and it is in a great condition. The location is excellent, just next to the pier. They offer a lovely breakfast with quite a few options to chose from.

An hotel in need of renovation

Posted Sep 21, 2013
Pros: Nothing really.
Cons: The whole place needs a makeover.
Location: The location was excellent being more or less on the sea front and near to the pier and the shops.
We arrived expecting car parking on the premises. We were told that free parking meant finding a space on the many side roads around the hotel. We were taken up to a bedroom on the second floor. We were told the toilet was not flushing very well. You had to hold it down very hard to make it work. Following a rest after our journey we used the toilet and attempted to flush it without success. We went down and said we could not be in a room without a flushing toilet. We were offered a room on the second floor. The toilet seat was broken on this one but it did flush. The pillows and duvet had seen better days. The shower was tiny. The purpose of our visit was to visit a relative who lived nearby. Every evening when we came back we had to tour the side roads to find somewhere to park. It was a nightmare.
