“Couldn't have asked for better!”
Perfectly located, very clean and comfortable. Great shower and even better breakfast - couldn't have asked for more!!
“Great place to Stay”
Great little place to stay. Room was good just off the seafront close to town centre. The welcome was very good shown room in person which was very good. Breakfast was very very good you will not be going home hungry. One word of warning lots of staires with no lift. Did nave room on ground floor so check All in all well worth the money
“Wonderful near the sea”
I have a family of 4 that stayed for only one night, but we all wished it was longer. The accommodations were top notch and my wife and I even had a chance to use their Victorian style parlor room to read. The staff was great, let us in our room early, gave us direction around town and fed us a very hearty breakfast. Location wise it is fantastic....about 3/4 of a block from the sea which we coud see from a bay window in our room. I'd definately go back!
“Eastbourne”
Great location near cultural area of Eastbourne - nice hotel, very friendly staff, great breakfast.
“Quick trip to Eastbourne”
Great, comfortable, spotlessly clean room. Good size. nice bathroom with fab shower. I was made to feel very welcome and would definitely stay again
“Super little hotel”
This was a great little hotel! There was a friendly and warm welcome and lovely room (I believe I was in No. 5). Very comfortable room, well appointed and clean, with nice touches like cookies and a lovely variety of teas and coffees.. I stayed for just one night but was more than happy with my stay and would definitely stay again when I next visit Eastbourne. I missed breakfast unfortunately (I was ten minutes late - my fault), so be sure to be on time... it's apparently worth it. The hotel was in a great location, close to everything, and an easy walk to the beach.
“ok for a buisness stay but not for a romantic week”
The Berkley certainly looks the part but the details are lacking. The receptionist found english a difficult language to understand and somehow my wifes Valentines card got seperated from the flowers that i had delivered and they had trouble identifying who the flowers were for ,this may have been an issue with the florist though. The poor points of the guest house was the noise from inconsiderate patrons, waking us at 02:00 and 03:00 in the morning with no staff to ask them to keep a more considerate level of noise and no signs up requesting this. the doors to the bedrooms are quite thin and not sound proofed at all and our door latch was coming loose at the hinges. My main concern about this guest house is the complete lack of information regarding breakfast which is only served between 08:30 and 09:30 even on a Sunday!I had to phone the guest house on my own phone as there is not one in the room to enquire about serving times as there are no details any where even in the guest information folder. That said breakfast was fine.
