Very tattyPosted Aug 31, 2014
Rather tired and rundown, for £91 a night, although this was last minute over bank holiday weekend. At other times is probably much cheaper, I imagine.

Oud hotel, vriendelijk personeelPosted Aug 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
Oud hotel. Tip: Vraag altijd kamer met zeezicht. Badkamer te klein. Schimmel in douche. Vriendelijk personeel. Televisietoestel heel klein. Kamer goed voor een nacht, niet langer...

Eastbourne hotel on the seafrontPosted Aug 18, 2014
Very dissapointing room at the back of the hotel very small room needing a gd clean & update the bathroom was in a terrible state a relic from the 70's!! Moved to another room with a seaview slightly bigger the bathroom had been modinised but the toilet hadnt been cleaned there was dust everywhere & the windows hadnt been cleaned for months more 1or 2* not worth the money!!

Ældre hotel men fantastisk beliggenhedPosted Jul 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
OK ophold i store værelser. Gammelt og lidt nedslidt hotel. Fantastik beliggenhed lige ned til havnepromenaden.

Don't go here unless you're 70 plusPosted Jul 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
It's the worst hotel I have ever been to, and I really wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It's dated and it smells, the staff is unhelpful and the breakfast is definitely not worth the money. The place reminded me of a care home and most of the guest are about that age.

tiredPosted May 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
Arrivede on sat for a 40th birthday party. The hotel is classed as a 3* but its very tired . room had gaps under the (cast iron)bath ,the windows had a bit of wear and tear under them .,as did the paintwork on the outside of the windows in the restuarant. Breakfast was very good . although the butter could have been better stored away from the windows .most had melted. parking near hotel is on pay on street ,but witha £1 voucher (per day) from the hotel its worked out quite cheep. staff foreign but very friendly. All in all decent.

lovely viewPosted May 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
Its true that the hotel is a little shabby but the rooms are clean and comfortable and its in a great location. We had an amazing view of the sea from our bed! Room was a good size, bathroom a little tiny. Not impressed with the breakfast, given what it cost. It was small and not particularly nice. Overall we were happy though and would stay here again...although we would go out for breakfast!

Hotel needs upgradingPosted May 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
My room was huge and the design beautiful, there was plenty of hot water. The bed was huge too but the spirals in the bed dug into my back and the shower bracket was broken so I couldn't shower. There was no bar fridge as advertised. The carpet needed a desperate hoover everywhere in the hotel. There was dust every where in the hotel except the dining area. The shelter in the beautiful back garden where the rabbits and pheasants are kept is too small for soo many animals and was dirty and not well kept, as I am an animal lover I was not pleased with these beautiful animals distress which was clearly visible. The staff where amazing and very helpful and the breakfast was spot on. The location was perfect.

No hot water!Posted Oct 15, 2013
Pros: The location.
Cons: Lack of hot water ion the bathroom.
Location: Location is good. On the sea front.
The hotel is old, a bit run down. You could hear creaking as you walked up the stairs. The staff who run it sound like they are from Eastern Europe (Poland?) but were pleasant enough. The room was fine except for one thing - no hot water in the bathroom at all. A huge let-down really. This was also a problem with my friends' room so it wasn't just mine. The hotel wasn't very busy but that was no reason to turn off the hot water. Too late to complain as it wasn't long before we had to check out.
